For the price, you will not do better anywhere else. This place has been here for what seems like forever. Back when I was in high school etc, we used to come to Westwood and cruise around. Making a stop at Diddy Riese was pretty much standard especially as the cookies back then were 25 cents each. Today, the cookies are $0.75 each which is still a deal - one that you won't get anywhere else. Granted, these are not the gourmet cookies topping out at $5 each or more. This is a small, soft (not gooey) cookie that will satisfy a cookie craving. You get what you pay for! They also have brownies which are delicious and ice cream sandwiches for $5 which is also a deal. They are located across from UCLA so I'm sure that was first and foremost in their mind when they picked this location. At busy times like early evenings and weekends, expect a wait but it moves relatively quickly.

Fantastic place to relish varieties of fresh cookies. Ice cream sandwiches and shaved ice (gola)along with different flavours, great atmosphere, Max, made the job easy. He's very kind and explained the flavours. Great value for money. Enjoy enjoyed this place a lot

Stopped by and the vibe was easy, no line when I went, which was nice. Prices are still very affordable, especially for the area. The cookies were good if you’re just craving something sweet, but they leaned more on the dry side rather than soft and moist. Nothing terrible, just not that gooey texture some people expect. If you’re nearby and want a quick, inexpensive cookie fix, it works. Not a critic, just sharing how it felt.

Clearly a hidden gem, I knew nothing about! The cookies are fresh and delicious! I loved the options and atmosphere! You must try them!

I absolutely LOVE Diddy Reese! When I first started going here 1 cookie was 25¢, you could get 3 cookies and a milk for $1, and ice cream sandwiches were also $1!

I've tried chocolate chip cookies from many places, but these stand out from the rest. They are perfectly baked, incredibly flavorful, and packed with premium chocolate chips. The aroma alone is enough to make your mouth water. Every visit has been consistently excellent. A must-visit spot for cookie lovers.

Absolutely love this place. Can you believe that you can get a dozen of tasty cookies for $5.30 nowadays? No wonder there is always a long line here. This place has been here since the 80’s. It’s not only popular with the students at UCLA but with the people all over LA who would drive more than an hour to get here for the cookies and ice cream. Although my daughter is a Trojan, she was still willing to come with us to get the cookies and ice cream with her mom to celebrate her birthday. We bought a few dozens of cookies for ourselves and to give to friends. Our favorites are the candy and white chocolate cookies. The cookies are very good to go with ice creams. we ended up with a few cups of ice creams with white chocolate chip cookies. They were so decadent and delicious. Besides the cookies, their brownies are very good too. For $1 each, it’s a steal for a good brown. I bought half a dozen to take home. Parking is easy for this place. There is a paid public parking lot right next to the shop.
