My physical and occupational therapists are incredibly amazing! I have had tons of physical and occupational therapists over the past few years and they are from an over the past few years and they are from a different Planet! They push me and motivate me in a way that is challenging and exciting! I couldn't ask for a They push me and motivate me in a way that is challenging and exciting! I couldn't ask for a better team! The nursing staff is really attentive and you can tell that they actually care about you here! Elsa, The patient experience lady is super awesome as well! She always happens to come by at the perfect time! She is good about helping you stay in good spirits! Overall, one of the best experiences I ever had! The place would be perfect if they did long time stays.

I came into Cal Rehab in a wheelchair, I left able to dress myself, on a walker and just able to manage steps. I was profoundly encouraged that I’d get better. Six months later I walked my 38th LA Marathon. I can’t run, but I can walk. I was recently discharged from CRI, and I can honestly say it lives up to its reputation as one of the best rehabilitation hospitals. From the moment I arrived, I felt truly cared for. The entire staff—from doctors to nurses, CNAs, and therapists—went above and beyond to ensure my recovery. A huge thank you to my amazing therapists: Valerie (SLP), Anna and Bruce (PT), Brian and Alyssa (OT) for their dedication and expertise. They made a huge difference in my progress and speedy recovery. I also want to give a special shout-out to the fantastic nurses: Heber, Keresi, and Noemi, who were always so attentive and kind, and to Frank, Naomi, Mary Ann, Stephanie, Hubert, and Emily (case manager), who were incredibly supportive every step of the way. Last but certainly not least, Dr. Winship provided excellent care and really helped me feel confident in my recovery journey. If you or a loved one need rehabilitation care, CRI is the place to go. I couldn’t have asked for a better experience!

This place is the absolute best. I need to be blessed & thankful for my therapists who attended me last year I went through a brain injury and my recovery happened so fast that I was released from the hospital (UCLA) and got transferred here . Kristin, meghan, & Mina physical, occupational & speech therapist, super super friendly and very helpful that they took me to Starbucks a few days before I was released from here. 🙂 I was only here for two weeks and everyone were shocked how fast I was recovering.

Before coming here, she had worked with six different physical therapists who all told us that standing straight again would be impossible because of her bent knee. Then we met Taylor, her physical therapist here — and everything changed. Taylor has done something that no one else could. In just one week, my mom’s legs are noticeably straighter, and she’s beginning to get out of her wheelchair with little to no assistance. Watching her regain this independence has been emotional and inspiring for our whole family. The care, dedication, and expertise at this facility are on another level. The staff truly listen, encourage, and push their patients to reach goals that once felt out of reach. We are beyond grateful to Taylor and the entire team at California Rehabilitation Institute for giving my mom hope and helping her take real steps — literally — toward recovery. We owe my mom’s wellness and her second chance at a wholesome recovery to California Rehab Institute (CRI). After experiencing setbacks at a subpar skilled nursing facility, we are beyond grateful for the exceptional care provided by the outstanding staff, therapists, and doctors at CRI. Our concerns were always addressed and my mom was cared for. She had an infection in her salivary glands, and wounds due to PAD and the whole team cared for her. We never felt like her health was compromised. A special shoutout to the incredible team who supported my mom every step of the way: Physical Therapists: Lindsay, Nick, and Sara, whose coaching and motivation helped my mom walk again after her PONS stroke. Occupational Therapists: Megan, Stefanie, Mark, and Hiram, for their dedication and expertise. Nurses: Charlotte, Brooks, and Martin, for their compassionate care. Nursing Assistants: Alejandra, Yecenia, Kevin, and Abraham, for their constant support and kindness. Doctors: Dr. Hsin, Dr. Lee, and Dr. Bryson, for their exceptional medical guidance. Finally, a heartfelt thank you to Case Manager Ericka Lee, who ensured my mom had the proper care and resources after leaving CRI. We are deeply thankful to the entire CRI team for making such a positive difference in my mom's recovery journey. It is no wonder they are ranked #23 in the nation!
