Bad dont go here. Waited a month to see my therapist. Waited 40 minutes to see them and were a no show. Waited on the phone with clinic to get some answers was put on hold for like 20 and then hung up on. Waited again and was told id be called later on with what happened before 5 but never heard from them. Dont go here its a waste of time.
I found the doctor to be very pleasant and helpful, yet scary because they are removing medications that I've been on for 20 years. But with better help, I think I can do it.
Best help for mental health. They will never give up on you. It does not matter how long it takes. I have been with them for a couple of years. They change my med and are always there for my good and horrible days. I’m alive thanks to them and my daughter that cared enough to make that call for me. I have come along way in the past two years. Thank you Ms. Kizzy for helping my wife.
DON'T. First time, was given an email to a link to a zoom call. The specialist NEVER once answered. I called their number to see what's happening, I get transferred to their receptionist. They then said that the Psychiatrist is still with another patient but they will call. Ok, cool, I wait for their call. The psychiatrist calls me finally, could barely understand their accent. She then says how we're short on time now (duh), and how they tried to reach me but couldn't. LIES. I then tell them how I was waiting, and what their receptionist said. She then makes an excuse about it. Very unprofessional.
She introduced herself, then I "Myself" had to ask her about going over my Rx's. At 1st she just wanted the Rx's that I was taking from the other provider at the office. By the time I was able to finish going over my other Rx's, she told me that she was out of time. I had to force her to complete the Rx's requested. Then she wanted to refer me back to my old Dr., but I requested an appointment w/her as my new primary Dr. at that office. Now, I get a call today, stating that I needed to be transferred to another Dr. there instead, which will be my primary Dr. there. Hopefully, I will have a better communication experience with her vs this Dr. As for my point of contact at the office, which is Luca: He is very nice, professional person & followed through when I requested a call back regarding my Rx's update. Thank You Luca!!
I received excellent service today over the phone from Jason at Advanced Psychiatry Associates. He promptly assisted me with rescheduling an upcoming appointment and provided accurate contact information for the documentation department. He also informed me that Morgan, who handles all documentation, does not accept phone calls—which was a very helpful detail. This saved me time and frustration in the long run, especially since I’ve run into issues in the past due to missing key information. I need to submit a form related to an official claim, and Jason’s professionalism has made the process efficient and stress-free. I highly recommend this office for their responsiveness, attention to detail, and the empathy they show in every situation.
Avoid Jacqueline Rutinwa. Especially if you have ADHD. She will neglect you, fear monger you, and be late. I have been trying to get the proper medication for adhd for the past 6 months. She kept prescribing me non-stimulants even though I’ve repeatedly stated that they don’t work for me. When I asked for stimulants after 5 months of being on them, she started fear mongering me instead of getting me the proper care that I needed. Because of her, I’ve struggled a lot academically and mentally this semester. I even expressed how my adhd has gotten so bad to the point I started pulling consistent all-nighters to finish school work last minute. And all she did was express fake sympathy and continue to deny me the proper medication. Additionally, on my last appointment with her, she had promised me that on our follow-up appointment I’d get prescribed stimulants. My appointment got cancelled because she randomly went out of office and the EARLIEST appointment with her would be 7 weeks later… to make it worse, I had even told her I needed to get the proper medication ASAP since I’d be living abroad for the next 6 months. Now it’s too late so I’ll be unmedicated for an entire 6 months or even more. Thanks to her negligence and lack of organization. Trust me, she’s not worth the mental anguish. I can’t even count how many times I cried over not getting proper help. (Oh and btw my friend goes to a different clinic and they prescribed her the right medication on her first visit, unlike Jacqueline.) I also told her the anxiety medication she prescribed me made me super sleepy and she said it was normal. Meanwhile, two other psychiatrists said otherwise and told me it’s not the right medication for me. Unlike her, they were both supportive of me getting stimulants. She’s been late to multiple appointments before. I think there was even a time where she didn’t call me till 15-20 mins later than the scheduled time. And what’s even more ridiculous is that I was late by 10 mins ONCE and got charged $50. They were even planning to charge me $100 but sugar-coated it and waived 50% of the fee since it was my first time being late with them. If you’re going to be strict and hold your patients to this standard, I’d expect you to be just as strict with yourself. Lastly, when I first became a patient, I would receive MULTIPLE calls from the office to reschedule my next appointment. I think one time I got called 7 times within an hour. I honestly almost blocked the office. It’s annoying, disrespectful, and unprofessional. Outside of being patients, we all have a life and other duties to tend to. I’ve never had a medical office call me as much as this one. It’s really odd.
