I am very disappointed with the lack of professional communication at this office. From the start, the front desk and medical assistant were dismissive and frequently cut me off, making it clear they viewed me as an inconvenience rather than a patient. Asking WAY TOO much about my name to have something to Gossip about. Unfortunately, the experience with the doctor was no better. She spoke to me as if I were a medical expert, expecting me to intuitively understand and interpret my own X-ray/ultrasound results. I specifically told her a person I spoke with on the phone said this to me and I needed guidance and explanation; instead, I was met with an attitude that I should already know what my X-ray/ultrasound results were to look at the photos (I'm not a Doctor or expert at Reading the results because that's A DOCTOR'S JOB NOT PATIENT). As a patient, I rely on my endocrinologist to provide clarity, not condescension. Between the rude support staff and the doctor’s dismissive approach, I did not feel heard or cared for. This facility and staff is not at all friendly to everyone, for any other who ever experiences this PLEASE go elsewhere if you don't want Rude service.

Horrible doctor. Pushed for a full removal of a thyroid and wouldn’t see me until 6 months later. I experienced such horrible symptoms and had to seek out outside network doctor. On top of that she is so judgemental and rude. Said I should be a vegetarian and that it’s normal in women to suffer from thyroid problems. Completely failed to look further into my bloodwork that clearly showed my diagnosis. I will be reporting her

Dr. Bassi clearly has personal problems she takes out on her patients. She told me I was unhealthy and malnourished which is not true. She was not helpful and basically I paid to be bullied. Wouldn't waste your time. Dr bassi was overdosing me on my thyroid medicine for a year. She said my levels were fine but they were actually hyper not hypo. Practically all my hair fell out and I lost 15 plus pounds. She never told me or corrected my dose. Thankfully I eventually found another doctor who helped me!

I am so glad I read reviews! I have mixed feelings about Dr.Bassi, but some of these reviews have validated many of them. Dr Bassi talks about herself mostly. I don’t care what she eats or feeds her children! Seriously? She is pushy, arrogant, self centered to say a few. She hurries you in and out. Comes across as having no concern for the patient. Yes she is knowledgeable, but that goes out the window because of the way she makes you feel. It’s impossible to get help via phone from her office! I have a follow up in mid May, and that will determine whether I continue with her.

I am writing this review because I just read another patient’s experience that mirrors mine almost exactly, and I feel it’s important to add my voice. From my very first visit, I felt judged rather than cared for. I was told there could be "no confusion" about who I was because my neck was "very noticeable." At later appointments, when I raised concerns about unexplained weight gain despite exercising and improving my diet, those concerns were repeatedly dismissed. Instead of investigating potential medical causes, I was told to "try a healthy lifestyle," encouraged to follow a vegetarian diet because it worked for the doctor personally, and told to exercise more—even after clearly stating that I was already doing so. My concerns were framed in a dismissive way, as if I were simply not trying hard enough. I am a Hispanic woman, and I was told my thyroid issues were likely because I am Hispanic and because I am a woman. Hearing that—without proper investigation—was deeply upsetting and felt reductive rather than medical. Women already struggle to be taken seriously in healthcare, especially with thyroid conditions, and this experience reinforced that reality. I raised ongoing concerns about hair thinning, weight gain, and how certain foods made me feel. These issues were not meaningfully explored. I later underwent a full thyroidectomy that was recommended, only to be diagnosed after surgery with Hashimoto’s chronic thyroiditis—something I had previously expressed symptoms of and concerns about. It is incredibly frustrating to feel dismissed for months, only to later receive a diagnosis that explains the very symptoms that were brushed aside. No patient should feel bullied, minimized, or blamed for their symptoms. I see many reviews saying this doctor is wonderful, and I genuinely wish that had been my experience. Unfortunately, it was not. Patients deserve individualized care, active listening, and medical investigation—not assumptions, personal lifestyle projections, or dismissal. As a woman in healthcare in a field such as endocrinology, Bassi , who took an oath, should be treating patients not dismissing and judging them.
