Artoo Design S2dio, Inc.

I had a great experience working with Artoo Design S2dio and Ramy. From the beginning, Ramy was professional, knowledgeable, and attentive to every detail of my project. He took the time to understand my vision, provided valuable recommendations, and guided me through the entire process with patience and expertise. The plans were well-designed, completed on time, and met all the requirements needed for approval. What impressed me most was his responsiveness and willingness to answer questions every step of the way. I highly recommend Artoo Design S2dio to anyone looking for architectural and engineering services. Thank you, Ramy, for your excellent work and dedication!

Ramy is the best in the business! He is honest, knowledgeable, and extremely helpful. I had a horrible experience with a "designer" and Ramy truly came to my rescue. He gave me great advice on designs that were more cost effective and dealt with city engineers when questions and comments came up. I highly recommend Ramy to anyone needing architectural plans.

Ramy is more than professional! Ramy treats your project with high priority. It does not matter how many projects he may have going on he is very well time managed. Ramy makes the effort to not only give you a thorough plan, but to also clear any doubts you may have. His business operates professionally and they are well aware of all the building codes. Working with Ramy is not taking a leap of faith, it is working in the right direction to get your project moving forward and done. His prices are well worth his services. I have a project that I had to delay due to tenant eviction, but even then he still assisted me with questions that I had when I was going through my construction and inspection process after the eviction. If you need help with an ADU or with any other service he offers you are working with the right man for the JOB! It does not matter how big or small you project is, Ramy experience is of paramount and will guide you in the right direction.

Easy 5 stars from me Hired Artoo Design to help with plans for a renovation project in my home. Because of the structural and electrical scope, I decided to build fully permitted and up to code. I hired Artoo twice. About 18 months ago I bought a one-time consultation. The consult fee is not cheap, but it’s totally worth it. I got a full preview of everything that would be required for my project – sizing of structural members, ratings for materials, and what would (and wouldn’t) fly with city inspectors. I also got a handful of solutions for things I didn’t know how to handle. The meeting really streamlined my planning and thinking about design tradeoffs. The second time I hired Artoo (December) was to do the full construction plans. I met with Ramy to do an updated plan review and for him to take some measurements. I really felt like he was taking my input and we were working together on the final details. Then the quality of the drawings themselves are impeccable. In a previous life I did heavy AutoCAD drafting, so I’m very picky about drawings being accurate and complete. They were also turned around really fast. Much faster than I could have drawn in my prime. Next was probably the best part – Ramy said he would help with any notes from the city plan review process. I was worried how that would go. We had to do some revisions, but it was totally painless thanks to hiring the right company. I felt unstoppable with Ramy as a partner, and I got everything I wanted approved by the city. I’m writing this review today (August) because I had another small question about the plans, and Ramy basically answered my email immediately. Super tight customer service. I don’t always have the budget or time to build things right. Artoo Design is one of those companies you should hire when quality and time is important. When you have a project that needs the best, this is the group to go to.

I started planning to build an ADU about a year ago. I extensively researched ADU requirements, design and construction. My first and perhaps my best decision so far was to select Ramy to design my first ADU. My selection was based on comparing other options and reading hundreds of reviews. Other less expensive options were available, but based on multiple reviews, they come with potential risks in terms of plan approval and added construction cost. So far, my choice paid off where my plans were approved by the City in a record time. After my permit application submittal, I received very minor comments from the City. Ramy addressed all comments, and made the required plan revisions in a couple of days. The resubmitted plans were accepted without any additional comments. I found Ramy to be very talented and highly qualified architect. I also found him to be vey patient, very humble and very respectful to my wishes. Even when I suggested the wrong approach, Ramy always listened without being dismissive, and found a gentle way to steer me to the right decision, which at the end both met my needs and yet was more efficient, more practical and much more elegant in design than my original approach. But what impressed me the most was the ease of communication with Ramy throughout the design project, and the permit application. I sent him many texts throughout the day from very early mornings to late evenings, during weekdays and weekends. There was no incident when he didn’t respond, most of the time within seconds. Ramy also promised to be available to answer any questions related to his design during the construction process (I am looking forward to that and I am planning to update this review once construction is completed). This an update after construction was completed: I cannot recommend Ramy Ibrahim highly enough. From our very first meeting through the completion of construction, he was responsive, patient, knowledgeable, and genuinely committed to making the project a success. During the planning and design phase, Ramy listened carefully to what I wanted and transformed my ideas into a design that was both elegant and highly functional. Every detail was thoughtfully considered, resulting in an ADU that not only meets our needs perfectly but also complements our existing home so seamlessly that it looks as though it has always been there—not like an addition built years later (see photo). What truly set Ramy apart was his commitment after construction began. He remained readily available to answer my questions, resolve construction issues, and work closely with the contractor whenever needed. His continued involvement throughout the construction process gave us tremendous confidence and helped ensure that the finished project reflected the original vision. The completed ADU exceeded our expectations in every way. Everyone who has seen it has commented on how beautiful it is and how naturally it blends with the existing house. We have received countless compliments on both the design and the craftsmanship that his plans made possible. If you are looking for an architect who combines creativity, technical expertise, exceptional responsiveness, and genuine dedication to his clients, I recommend Ramy without reservation. Working with him was one of the first and best decisions we made, and I would gladly hire him again for any future projects.
