Pottery Studio 1 Downtown LA

We were warmly greeted by our instructor, Princess, who made us feel welcome right away. We started by drawing inspiration from the beautiful pottery pieces displayed around the studio. The class was intimate just my sister and me which made it extra special as we celebrated her birthday. Princess was incredibly helpful throughout the entire process, especially during the shaping stage. She even helped me work around my long nails (though I’d definitely recommend shorter nails for the best experience!). We then moved on to decorating, using 3D stamps to add unique details to our pieces, followed by the painting process. Overall, it was such a fun and memorable experience. I would absolutely come back and try a different piece… with shorter nails next time lol!

I have been wanting to do some creative things and giving myself a me time, so I Google and around Pottery Studio 1. I had such a wonderful experience at Pottery Studio 1 in DTLA! From the moment I walked in, the environment felt welcoming, creative, and encouraging. I had the pleasure of learning wheel throwing with Riley, who was incredibly patient, supportive, and made the entire process feel smooth and easy, especially for someone still learning. The guidance and encouragement truly made me feel comfortable and confident throughout the class. Princess was also amazing and helped me through the painting process with so much kindness and care. The whole experience felt relaxing, therapeutic, and genuinely fun. You can really tell the team is passionate about what they do and wants everyone to enjoy the creative process. I left feeling inspired and already excited to come back again. Highly recommend Pottery Studio 1 if you’re looking for a fun and memorable experience in DTLA!

What an awesome experience!! Rhiley Jane was an amazing teacher. She took her time to explain each step and made it a much more enjoyable time. No stress, just fun! Loved how the cups turned out even before the firing process. Highly recommend the date night class with Rhiley Jane!

My coworkers and I had a wonderful class at Pottery Studio 1, I cannot recommend it enough! It was my first time doing anything like it and the staff were incredible kind. Rhiley, Gabby, and Jessel were patient and knowledgeable teachers who helped us all feel supported along the way. I will definitely be coming back!

We did a 2 hour beginner pottery wheel class as a fun activity! The instructor, Ms. Riley Jane, was exceptionally helpful and patient and really made this a pleasant experience! They have all the tools and equipment and walk you through everything. Great one-time activity!!
