The Mudd House

Had the best experience at The Mudd House! Miles was patient, hospitable, and extremely knowledgeable. He made sure our group of nine had the best and most memorable experience possible. They were extremely prompt and made sure to get our pieces fired before we left for home. Could not recommend more!

Wow! The Mudd House in Encinitas is the BEST! This was a highlight of our visit to celebrate my parent's 50th anniversary. We did the ready to paint option where you go in and select a piece of bisqueware pottery, paint it, and then they fire it for you. Not only did we have such a sweet time when we were actually doing the painting, but now we have a memento from this special trip. Miles was our favorite. He helped us know what to do with great patience and kindness. He made sure our pottery was ready in time for our flights home. What a champ! Y'all need to do this if you're considering it. You'll love it:

I had such a fantastic time at The Mudd House! My friend and I joined the Happy Hour class with Emery and May, and had the best time. They were both so kind and patient! Both Emery and May really took the time to encourage us and feel more comfortable with creating our own pieces. I highly recommend and will definitely be returning!

Reilly was such a great instructor! The way she broke things down and explained her tips was thorough and super helpful! She was warm and made the class fun! She was encouraging and made us both feel so empowered. We sadly don’t live in San Diego but we will definitely come back for more clay time in the future!

My daughter and I signed up for a private lesson. We had a wonderful experience and learned a lot. It was my first time ever working with clay while my daughter had a little more experience. Our instructor, Emma, was able to work with our differing levels of experience. She was friendly and helpful and made the session feel fun and relaxed, just a lovely person. Everyone at the studio was very friendly and patient. We would definitely recommend The Mudd House to anyone interested in trying out a pottery class.
