EYE-Q Vision Care - Clovis

Vision Eye-Q has a great location, a clean lobby, and a nice children’s area. Doctor Holtz was knowledgeable and provided excellent care. However, be prepared for long wait times. Even a simple prescription pickup appointment for my son took nearly an hour, and regular visits can easily last 3–4 hours or more. The office should consider creating a faster process for patients who are only picking up prescriptions and don’t need fittings or adjustments. A dedicated pickup/check-in option would make a big difference. Great care, but the overall experience would be much better with improved efficiency.

Dr. Holt and his staff are wonderful! I’m so appreciative of them! He is very knowledgeable and takes time to explain things. His staff is very welcoming and the environment is great for pediatric patients as well. Highly recommend!

I took my son for a one year follow-up. The clinic was nice, modern, and clean. The staff was super friendly. They definitely know their profession. However, we waited two hours in between the initial examination and check-in to only be seen by Dr. Holtz for less than five minutes. I didn’t feel important or valued.

From the moment you walk in, the front desk staff is warm and welcoming. His assistants are kind, respectful, and take the time to listen to your concerns during the examination. I truly enjoyed my appointments with Dr. Hiton. He is highly professional, knowledgeable, and I completely trust his diagnosis. I always leave his office feeling confident that my eyesight has been thoroughly and carefully taken care of. I highly recommend Dr. Hiton and his entire team. Sincerely, Jacqueline Fritz

The staff and Dr. Holt are wonderful. The are patient and kind and understanding. The only reason I did not give 5 stars is just because of the weight times. We are usually there for 3-4 hours and only seen for 10 minutes. I understand that the office is very busy and there is only one Dr. but plan and simple it’s just to long. They did add a playground which helps a LOT but I still feel the weight is too long, especially for small children.

My Dr is great and their whole office setup for checking in is great. Why the 1 star, because if you get a prescription for glasses it is incomplete missing the pupil distance unless you buy from them and pay $15. Not the end of the world but when I've already got 2 pairs of glasses from them in the past, I called for my PD number and they said it'd be $15 to release my previous order information to me. This is the type of nickel and dime tactic that has inspired me to look for a completely different office. When the basics go out the door, don't think that you are going to get quality care anymore.

The wait times are long but I think it’s because they are being thorough with the exams and if they have to dilate the eyes that adds on to the wait, I was pleasantly pleased they give snacks and a drink at the front desk, it was our first visit and we didn’t plan for it to take long but the snacks given to my daughter helped a lot since we were not prepared for the wait. Dr. Holt and staff are great and I will keep my daughter as a patient there.
