Norton Simon Museum

An amazing collection of artworks - the sculpture garden is suburb. Beautiful garden Cafe and lovely giftshop. Just the right size - not overwhelming big but enough to keep you occupied for several hours.

I think this is one of my favorite museums here. I arrived the first time without any particular expectations, yet I was thoroughly impressed—and it was probably the first time I actually considered getting a membership. It’s an absolute must-visit; don’t miss it.

A smaller museum with just the amount of famous artwork and sculptures (from the artbooks) with Rodin's Thinker leading (?) you up the stairs. No need to get drained from going from room to room to room to room. Last visit was during the Memorial day wknd (Sat) at 4 so had to park on the street. No requirement to buy tickets online so bought at the ticket booth.

Excellent and varied collection. Many eras and genres represented. Lovely garden with sculptures and water features, small outdoor cafe. Helpful and friendly staff. Lots of restrooms. Easy to navigate halls and galleries. Many well-known artists on view, but also many to discover.

Beautiful collection, worth a visit. Get parking early, once they open ie 12 noon. And ticket available at the counter for 20 dollars if you are not a member or a student.

Norton Simon Museum had a 50th Anniversary of free attendance on the 1st weekend of November. They opened the newly garden area. Beautiful walking paths with lovely plants and statues abound. Their collection of paintings, statues from various countries & periods were worth the trip. A wonderful collection! Don't miss this wonderful museum in Pasadena.

One of my favorite art museums. They do have some free days. I just love that every piece here is quality.
