Hollywood Bowl is a great venue.sound was amazing no bad seats .they rent cushions for bleacher seating loved the lower seating with tables &:service in your square .many food opportunities.could bring your own food & drink & have a picnic.,only for certain concerts check before you come .we saw the beachboys 4th of July so much fun ! We rode shuttle bus in had no issues.very quick and easy. Shuttle home had to wait maybe 20 minutes very convenient and well organized. Great time great sound !
My son and I attended the annual Tchaikovsky Spectacular with fireworks and it was a perfect evening. We purchased the least expensive seats last minute. We chose the Park and Ride option and didn’t need to worry about traffic and crowded parking lots. We brought a picnic and binoculars. A perfect evening!
So this is a once in a lifetime bucket list experience it’s one of the most beautiful places to see a concert that I have ever been in the entire world and I’ve traveled quite a bit. It’s a natural amphitheater in the forest with Mountain View‘s all around, we love going to the wine bar and just sitting there and watching the show on the big screen and having exquisite cheese and wine. The desserts are just spectacular. There are many places to eat many levels of food throughout the facility. Everything from pizza to fried chicken to an excellent picnic takeout and you’re also allowed to bring your own food and wine. If you want to carry it in keep in mind that this is an athletic experience don’t wear high heels. It’s very steep. It’s hard to walk around. It is not a friendly place for the disabled by any means you’re going to be going up and downstairs and elevators and escalators all over the place. I think the nosebleed seeds are spectacular with the big screens. The excellent sound system and the spectacular lighting, no matter where you sit in the Hollywood bowl it’s going to be a wonderful experience. They also let you dance in the aisles so just get up out of your seat and Dance. It’s great. Don’t forget to bring a blanket or seat pad to sit on and a warm jacket. The marine layer cools down fast after sunset.
Went here for the Joe Hisaishi concert and had a pleasant experience! It was my first time going to a venue with a picnic vibe and I really liked it! Easy to enter and there’s plenty of food options to choose from in the area, merch store is also available which is very nice. You can even bring outside food and drinks! Lots of restrooms available, and I noticed the place also has plenty of escalators. Seating area is huuuuge! I sat in M section and it still feels close, although I couldn’t really see face details, but that won’t be a problem because there are screens that you can see. Personally, audio could be a little bit louder though. Seats are also wooden, but you can easily rent a cushion for only one dollar! Make sure you also wear sunscreen, bring hats, and blankets because it can get cold at night. The night here is pretty and sometimes you can even see the stars! While I loved almost everything about the venue, it can get a bit nightmarish to exit the venue, all you see is basically people like sardines in a can. But other than that, it’s great! Fingers crossed I get to see the fireworks from here next time!
Hollywood Bowl: A Magical First Visit for Joe Hisaishi After living in California for 28 years, I finally visited the iconic, 100-year-old Hollywood Bowl for the very first time! We booked our tickets three months in advance specifically to see the legendary Studio Ghibli composer, Joe Hisaishi, conduct live in person. 🎬🎻 Seating & Atmosphere To get the absolute best audio and visual experience, we selected seats in Terrace 4, located dead center in front of the stage. Sitting in a comfortable 4-person box setup was fantastic, though it came with a steep price tag of $165 per ticket. Once the music started and we settled in comfortably, sitting in such prime seats made every single dollar feel completely worth it. 🎼✨ The Cost Breakdown (Parking & Concessions) Be prepared for the eye-watering venue pricing—it is a real, unfiltered taste of entertainment inflation! Parking: We purchased parking for Lot D (about a 15-minute walk to the venue), which set us back a whopping $115. Parking fees vary wildly depending on the location, so definitely look into your options ahead of time! 🚗 Snacks & Drinks: A single canned beer was $19, and a tub of popcorn was $10. 🍻🍿 Final Verdict Despite the high costs associated with parking and concessions, sitting back under the stars and listening to Joe Hisaishi conduct his timeless masterpieces was a true bucket-list experience. The ambiance, sound quality, and history of the venue were unmatched. I would absolutely come back for another concert in a heartbeat. A well-deserved 5 stars! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
