Claims to be one of the oldest bars around. Place was nice, very dark inside. All drinks appeared to be of good quality although I only had beer. I would certainly come back.

THE OLDEST bar in Hollywood! Right across from Musso and Franks- the oldest restaurant. The food is GREAT! The fish tacos are to die for, I usually get the Cobb salad with extra chicken. That and a Pacifico on draft is living life. The girl bartender with the sides of her head shaved is everyone's favorite. She makes the best drinks! Go to Boardners! It's a real gem in Hollywood

My experience at Boardner’s in Hollywood didn’t start well. After waiting over 20 minutes for a street parking spot, a man who arrived later tried to take the spot we were waiting for. When we parked, he aggressively confronted us, claiming it was his spot, threatened us with a ticket, and then hit the car behind him while trying to park elsewhere. We were two women and felt very nervous because of his aggressive behavior and threatening looks. To our surprise, he turned out to be one of the security staff, which made the situation even more shocking. After calming down, we went inside and explained the situation to another security guard, Chuy, asking him to watch our car. Later, we saw the same man again acting aggressively toward my partner and told us he can kick us out from the place. So rude. We explained everything to the manager, Keenan, who apologized. Boardner’s is a great place with amazing atmosphere, food, and drinks, but this prior incident ruined our experience. We had planned our day around visiting, but due to this, we won’t be coming back.

I went with my friends to the night at the Roxbury event, and there was a security guard with a DISGUSTING attitude. She made my friend with sandals go to hustlers down the street and spend $114 on brand new shoes. Whilst inside we saw several other women with sandals on. Why were we being singled out unfairly. I’m also a gay man and I did a little shimmy whilst being pat down. She took this situation extremely seriously and told me she didn’t like that and it made her uncomfortable. Would not recommend this place to anyone, especially if you’re queer or a POC. Bartenders were great but unfortunately our experience at the door really set the wrong tone.

Absolutely unacceptable experience. We paid a $15 entrance fee per person and entered the venue. At some point, staff told us to step outside for smoking. However, once we were outside, we were refused re-entry despite having already paid to get in. Charging customers an entrance fee and then denying them access without any proper explanation is dishonest and extremely unprofessional. If there are smoking policies or re-entry restrictions, they should be clearly communicated before taking people’s money. This place seems far more interested in collecting entrance fees than treating customers fairly. Poor management, poor communication, and a complete lack of respect for paying customers. I would not recommend this place to anyone

Phones stolen …mean personnel ..Is not safe. Plus it isnt just a stolen phone as the security officer and bartenders said, people use phones as payments now. Sooooo thrives in this place not enough security to try to have an under 21 "club" and wanted to charge to get back in to see if it was turned in after a small stampede happened at the door. This was craziness in the street as well after. Spend some money for security or stick to being a bar and sit down Restauart Horrible

Cool place, operates under different names on different days of the week (eg: Bar Sinister on Saturdays). Staff is very particular about checking ID, Vaccination Proof & keeping your mask on - so makes you feel safe inside. Drinks are decently priced & generous pours. Bands playing here are very fun to watch. Decor is always spot on. They have an indoor-outdoor space as well as a smaller upper floor space. Visited a few times now and each time has been a fun experience. Keep it up guys! See you next time 😀
