Have seating outside but no service. But they are more than accommodating with allowing you to just get take out option and sit outside. Plenty of good diner food options and loads of ice cream flavors. Be aware the scoop sizes are pretty large. I got a half ice cream sandwich by just getting a cookie and a scoop on top, because the normal ice cream sandwich has to scoops. The fries and onion rings were just ok, but the ranch dip was pretty good. My friends enjoyed their burgers, saying the gherkin was especially tasty l.

An all time Newman family favorite 😍 It's so cool being back in Oakland, and my kids going to all of the places I hung out at their age is so nostalgic. But Fenton's is still the place for all things ice cream, and then food is still delish 😋 so good. It's a forever staple in the Newman household...you go on and enjoy 😉 👍🏽🩷

Lunch on a Friday, wasn’t too crowded so we got to sit down immediately. Service was good. My fish and chips were excellent and of course, the Sundae was delicious!! Brother had Chili cheese dog that he enjoyed and wife had a grilled ham and cheese that she loved. By the time we made it to our Sundae (Hot toppers with both caramel and hot fudge) we were pretty full and could only manage half of it between 2 of us. I highly recommend Fentons Creamery!!

I’ve gone to fentons many times, and in the past it’s been fine. This evening, however, was a really miserable experience. The chairs there are uncomfortable—they always have been, it’s part of the experience. But it was just so noisy and crowded tonight it was overwhelming. The service was *terrible* and my party’s ice cream came out 20 minutes apart. Weird as hell. The burgers were fine, but not good. Ice cream was tasty but the experience was overwhelmed by the bad service.

There’s a huge line almost always so don’t be fooled by it if you’re trying to dine in. The lines for the scoop and go. Service is not great here — your food may not arrive and you will certainly have to ask for it if they bring the check and only half of your food has arrived. I’ll chalk it up to them being short staffed… sure. This is casual scoop and go or dine in. The ice creams dishes are delicious and definitely meant to be shared! Even the Fentons special JUNIOR was big and between 3 people for dessert it was enough. Parking is on the street as their lot is pretty small.

The ice cream and the lace are so magical the staff team members are all so dedicated to the customers. It really brings me back to when I was 6 years old and went to the ice cream parlor very much like this with my parents, I feel excited like a little kid any time I'm going there. Whatever you ask from the very diverse menu will be totally awesome. My favorite is the ice cream soda but anything, anything you want will be great. They have mostly classic flavors, if you are looking for the exotic or unusual there are other places I can recommend but if you want a wholesome classic ice cream experience, this is your bet.

This place was packed, but I couldn’t resist trying their ice creams. It turned out to be a local favorite and a renowned creamery. The service was incredibly friendly, and the staff member kindly offered me samples of various flavors, helping me make my choice from their extensive selection. I opted for their top-selling Sleeping Vanilla Caramel and Swiss Chocolate flavors. Both were absolutely amazing—fresh, soothing, and not overly sweet. Every bite was a delightful experience. My friends tried other flavors, and all of them were equally intriguing and delicious. I’ll definitely return to try more desserts at this place.
