Mike Counsil Plumbing and Rooter

Contacted MC plumbing for leak detection. somebody came out next day. ( i didn't call until mid afternoon). Great communication between MC regarding eta. Actually was able to come earlier. Juan was the technician. He explained costs and systems they used for leaks. We went over paperwork for authorization. My brother happened to mention an issue with his toilet. Juan ran a couple tests and went to take a look and sure enough that was it! So glad I paid attention to those green 💚 trucks. I highly recommend UPDATE... I want to give a shout out to Patrick Miller. He guided us through the process of additional necessary repairs with care and compassion. This guy knows plumbing and his job. We never felt pressured. He offered us options to help the decision making. Also thanks to Nestor and his crew. Such attention to detail ( every step of the way).

First Giordano came out and explained all the options for my shower valve and then Pablo came out and fixed it same day. I’m very happy how everything went overall. The price was right. Pablo cleaned after the job was done. I very much appreciate the clear explanation from Giordano. Straight forward.

Mike Counsil Plumbing provided excellent service. From the start, all the information was clearly explained, including the issue, the process, and the solution. The technician, Hugo Perez Dominguez, was professional, knowledgeable, and very efficient. He completed the repair quickly, answered all questions thoroughly, and made sure the work area was left clean and organized. I especially appreciated that the issue was resolved the same day. Highly recommend both the company and Hugo for reliable, high-quality plumbing service.

Very happy with Rudy. He led 2 other workers to install a pressure regulator valve, expansion tank, and replace 3 other valves for the kitchen and dishwasher. Very respectful and professional. He answered all our questions and gave good explanations. He also modified the location of the PRV after they started the installation when I wanted more clearance on one side. We are in the process of having additional work done.

Mike came to the rescue when we had to shut off our main water valve because a failed angle stop would no longer shut off the water. What impressed me even more than fixing the immediate issue was that he finally solved a toilet problem that had been frustrating us for four years. We have a nearly 20-year-old Toto one-piece toilet. As the original rubber parts aged, the toilet developed a persistent leak. No matter which replacement flapper we tried, it would never seal properly. Over the years, I hired both a handyman and another local plumber (who came twice) and tried at least three different types of flappers, but nothing worked. We ended up relying on the angle stop to turn the water on and off. The only advice I ever received was to replace the entire toilet. I never felt that replacing a perfectly good toilet was the right solution, but after four years of unsuccessful repairs, I thought I had no other choice. Mike was the first person who actually took the time to diagnose the root cause instead of treating the symptom. He fixed the toilet, explained exactly why it had been leaking all these years, and even showed me how to fix the same issue on my other toilets. Thanks to him, I avoided spending thousands of dollars replacing all four toilets in my house. I'm incredibly grateful that I found Mike through recommendations in the Palo Alto Moms Facebook group. His expertise, problem-solving skills, and honesty are exceptional. I can't thank him enough and would recommend him without hesitation.
