Green Thumb Nursery - Ventura

Ironically, I don't have much of a green thumb. But this nursery makes me wish I did - it has everything you could ever want for your garden. The inside has more than plants too, it's got a lot of overlap with a hardware store. But the greenhouse and outdoor area in the back is where they really shine. We love hot peppers, and they have tons of rare varietals. Scotch bonnets, reapers, ghost peppers, Thai chilis, and a lot more obscure ones as well. And it's not just peppers. In every category, they have everything you can think of. It's a pleasure to explore. They have tons of seeds, patio furniture, sculptures and fountains... Just being here inspires you with so many ideas for what your garden could be. It's incredible.

As a fellow business owner, I know how much reviews matter—and this one is well deserved. Green Thumb Nursery has become our go-to Monday ritual 🌿 we can easily spend a couple hours here just wandering with an iced coffee in hand… our favorite kind of girl trip. Their plant selection is amazing, especially if you love unique finds and variegated beauties you don’t see everywhere. And they truly have everything you need in one place—pots, soils, amendments—all at really reasonable prices (which is dangerous in the best way when your plant collection keeps growing 😅). Whether you’re just getting into plants or fully in your plant era like us, this place is a must.

Green Thumb Nusery is the best shopping I do all year. They take better care of their plants that other places. It is so beautiful. The vegetable plants are my favorite. All my fruit trees are from Green Thumb. I have been going there for 25 years and am never disappointed. Thanks!
