Discount Builders Supply & Hardware

Super convenient and cheap source for lumber and other needs. Devonte at the lumber cutting station was extremely helpful. He was very kind and friendly and helped me pick the right materials for my job even suggesting alternatives which would be more suitable. Which is what I ended up going with. 10/10 customer service

5 stars!!!! We are a family of DIYers, recently moved to SF and were looking for an alternative for Home Depot and Lowes, and came to know about DBSH through hardcore reddit communities that are promoting local businesses. We have been to the store multiple times and never faced any issue, staff is very friendly and very knowledgable. Prices are very reasonable. We do medium size projects so buy decent amount of supplies and found this store to be in some ways better than HD and Lowes.

5 Stars! I had an excellent experience at Discount Builders Supply & Hardware. Bob in the lumber department helped me select the right wood for my project and carefully cut it to the correct size. He was patient, knowledgeable, and very professional. Austin in the paint department was also fantastic. He helped me pick up the additional items I needed to finish the job and made the whole process smooth and easy. Great service from both of them — I truly appreciate the help. I’ll definitely be coming back! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Thanks to Discount Builders I was able to turn an IKEA bookshelf into a desk with wood & cinder blocks! Total cost around $45. Special shoutout to Chase F. for cutting the wood pieces for me! Hooray!

BULLWINKLE as cool as Bob! Discount is the best place for getting tasks accomplished with friendly humans who seem to like their job! Rare.

I can’t say enough good things about Bobby at Discount Builders. He’s been my go-to guy for ordering all the supplies for our remodel, and he’s made what could have been a stressful process completely seamless. Bobby is meticulous — he double-checks every order and makes sure everything is right before it goes out. On top of that, he keeps me updated every step of the way on deliveries, so I’m never left wondering when materials will arrive or where things stand. His attention to detail and proactive communication have been a game-changer for our project. If you’re working on a remodel and need someone reliable to handle your supply orders, ask for Bobby. Highly recommend!

Great well stocked friendly SF lumber and hardware store. Central location that’s perfect for allowing quick runs for forgotten items. Good prices and quality dimensional lumber trim and everything else. Staff is fun and helpful. Especially Osy and James. Get Osy talking and it’s hard to stop him! Fun! Good job guys!
