Customer Reviews
The Salvation Army Thrift Store & Donation Center has a rating of 4 out of 5 based on over 317 reviews on Google
I love this thrift store but don't like the customer service. Some employees are super rude and have not one single smile or just a hello. I love working with customers and always greet every human being with the best customer service I have. Wish this was for most places.
This is not one of my favorite ones to shop at. The staff are not very friendly nor welcoming. They are very loud and annoying. I hear them in the back talking about people. I read through the reviews and most of them were positive and loved the staff. This tells me that the staff are selective on who they are friendly to. Makes me not want to go back. Clovis staff are amazing. Blackstone should follow their good example on how to treat customers. Especially ones who have been loyal for over 20 yrs.
Shopping at Salvation Army is not nearly as affordable and pleasant as it used to be. They no longer give senior discounts and charge as much for items as the traffic will bear. Coats are now $19.99 and women's dresses are either $7.99 or $14.99 depending upon what the cashier on duty decides. Today, I purchased a short dress for example. The cashier decided to call it "formal" and charged me $14.99 when I was expecting to pay $7.99 for a regular dress. When I questioned the price and told her formal dresses are longer dresses, the cashier was rude and kept arguing with me even though I reluctantly decided to purchase the dress since it fit me so well. I recommend checking their price charts and paying attention when a cashier rings up your purchase. Sometimes, one is charged adult prices for children's clothing, which is never a pleasant experience.
Came in to shop around after a couple years of not going. Found cute clothes and decided to try them on, later on an older employee knocks on the door because someone wanted to try clothes on and I said "it’s occupied" TWICE and he continued to open it. I had to hold the door knob so it wouldn’t open and after he realized I was still in there he said "you should’ve said you were in there" and I replied with "I did" and he said "well you to speak up" in a rude voice. Very upset with the customer service, didn’t even apologize or anything. Would not recommend coming here.
The store is super organized and has Mens Womens and Kids racks. There is a large selection of blazers, dresses (casual or formal), and accessories. They also sell small furniture, decor, and books. They have a lot of deal days!
Yes, I asked for an employee for help. His name was Isaiah and he was the most helpful and down to earth lad I’ve seen. Besides having more piercings than Hell Razor goofy guy
The store has definitely gone down hill in the last couple of years. The store is now always dirty, the shelf are always messy with merchandise on the floor. There is always a long wait for a cashier. Currently nine customers in line with one cashier.
