We had a great experience visiting Forestiere Underground Gardens. The underground gardens were a unique place to explore, and the history behind how they were created was very interesting. Learning about the vision and work that went into building the gardens made the visit even more memorable. I especially enjoyed seeing the chapel area and the variety of fruit trees throughout the property. The site was clean and well maintained. Overall, Forestiere Underground Gardens was a fascinating and unique experience that was well worth visiting.

This is a fun and historical place to visit with your young ones. The history is so interesting and the place is amazing. I visited this place in the late 70's and was lucky enough to get to visit with Lorainne who was the wife of the nephew. I just recently took my wife, daughter, grandson, granddaughter and daughter in law. The docents were friendly, knowledgeable and we got to talk a bit about my previous visit. It was a great time and my family thoroughly enjoyed it. The place is kind of hard to find and the parking sucks as there is only street parking available. Go early so you can park and then hike/walk in. It's best to buy your tickets before hand although you can purchase at the for but may have to wait a while for your your to start.

What a hidden treasure. We’re grateful to the Forestiere family for still owning and restoring *Forestiere Underground Gardens* for the public. It’s clearly one man’s vision and 40 years of hand-dug hard work. Not a single minute of our 1-hour tour felt wasted — walking through those underground rooms and tunnels is a true marvel. Our guide was incredibly knowledgeable and passionate. Once you hear his stories, you’ll become a fan of the builder, Mr. Baldasare, too. It’s a must-see Fresno attraction. The grounds are well maintained, toilets are clean, and the gift shop prices are reasonable. They operate by reservation only, so please book ahead and support them when you’re in town. Overall, an incredible place built by an incredible person, Mr. Baldasare. Parking is on the roadside. Pls arrive 15 min prior to your reservation schedule.

This was a guided tour and reservations needed to be made. The tour is guided by a guide. Our guides name was Braiden and she was very knowledgeable for the tour. It was an interesting to see the tour. They explained where he came from and why he turn the land into a dream. It was fun and interesting and the gift store at the end supports the site.

I had such a great time visiting the Forestiere Underground Gardens. The only tricky part was finding the entrance because of some construction, but parking was super easy — free street parking right out front. We bought our tickets when we arrived, and they do offer a military discount, which was nice. The tour itself was about 45 minutes to an hour. It’s a small group tour; for us, it was just my friend, myself, and one other person, which made it feel more personal and easier to enjoy. Since it is an underground garden, some of the spaces are a bit smaller, so the small group size definitely helps. There are bathrooms available, and it was a little chilly underground, so I’d recommend bringing something cozy to stay warm. Overall, it was a beautiful and really unique experience. I definitely recommend going — and I’ll be going back again!

Don’t judge this place by its exterior—it’s easily one of the best attractions in Fresno. It’s incredibly remarkable and unique. The story of one man who moved here from Italy to grow citrus and created something so extraordinary is truly special. The result feels almost like stepping into a fantasy. Reservations are available, and you can call ahead to book a tour. Parking is in the back alley. The surrounding area isn’t the nicest, and they definitely deserve better advertising—but I absolutely loved this place!

Interesting place to visit, one hour guided tour was fantastic! Our hostess knew so much about the gardens. She had an answer for all our questions! It’s been paved, so mud really isn’t an issue any longer. It was May and cool so the weather was perfect. I was comfortable in my flip flops. Really cool to see how the owner lived underground his whole time in Fresno!
