Toyota of Huntington Beach

Back in 2023 took my 2019 Tacoma with only 30k miles to Toyota of Huntington Beach damaged my truck while it was in their care, causing over $12,000 in repairs including my roof be painted with out authorization when I was told it was going to be PDR "paint less dent repair" but because where the dent was had to be fixed with conventional body shop repair. Their idea of making it right was giving me running boards and covering a transmission and differential service. I was asked to take my original post down, but my experience with this dealership has continued to be disappointing, especially when it comes to diagnosing complex mechanical issues. Now my truck has an intermittent engine rattle during acceleration. There are no warning lights, and they can't even identify what's causing the noise. Instead, they're recommending a complete engine rebuild for $13,800. Before any assistance from Toyota, I was quoted around $11,000. Somehow, with Toyota's "help," my out-of-pocket cost is actually higher. I don't understand the math, and I don't understand how you can recommend replacing an engine when you can't clearly identify the failed component. Customers deserve accurate diagnostics, transparency, and accountability—not expensive guesses.

So my wife and I drove from Long Beach the Friday night before Christmas 2025. We had already been to two different dealers in our area trying to find my new Tacoma. They didn't have the color or the deal I needed. I've noticed some of these sales reps are very cocky and aren't very nice. They want the sale but don't offer the customer service. After I walked away they call and harass you to come back. I gave them the opportunity when I took the time to go there. And they failed to earn my business. So finally I saw Toyota of HB had what I was looking for and enquired online. Shortly after Brayan Carrera reached out to me. He was very friendly and courteous. He convinced me to drive down there and see what he had. It was exactly what I wanted. Went for a test drive, negotiated with him and his manager David. And shortly after we came to agreement and shook on it. It was like 1, 2, 3! They got it washed and filled the tank while we signed paperwork. Brayan pulled up and assisted me on connecting my phone to the system for navigation and Bluetooth. He and the whole team were very nice & helpful. We were in and out of there in less than 2 hrs. I told my wife it's record time for all the times I've purchased new vehicles. I highly recommend Toyota of HB if you are looking for a good deal on a Toyota, also their inventory is big.
