Aiso Parking Garage has no clear rates, it says $1 dollar per hour for the first 2 hours. But if you access after 5:00pm they charge you 5 dollars plus $1 hour for hour. They have some EV chargers, not well maintenance but you can use them.
Parking lot attendant leaves exactly at closing time. Keep in mind the time they close. If you arrive a couple minutes after closing time, the garage gates will be closed and your car will be locked in. You will not be able to retrieve until the following day. There is no security on premise. If you call the number listed on the attendant booth, the person will tell you they are unable to help and to return the next day when the lot is open.
Came on a Sunday afternoon to do some quick birthday shopping. Place feels decently safe during daylight hours. Parking is reasonable. There are EV charging stations here! There is an EVGo charger here and there are also six J1772 plugs as well. *Bear in mind that there are two different places for EV charging at this parking garage.* 10/10 recommend
Nah, the parking attendant here is messed up. I was followed into the garage by the sketchy guy. I tried to tell the attendant both when I re-entered and left that there was a weird guy that was now hiding in the stairwell. Thank God my friend just happened to see everything and drove me to my car to make sure I was safe because all this guy had to say was "you talk too much" and was more worried about telling me that the system automatically charges you after 5pm. Like, bruh, idgaf about the fee. I was trying to tell you I felt unsafe and was worried about others. Ladies, make sure you’re vigilant if you park here because strangers will follow you to your car and if something bad happens I guess "oh well, just don’t talk too much"
The parking garage is at a very convenient location and fairly safe. I’ve visited little Tokyo and parked here many times without issues. However, last time I had an unpleasant experience. I had gotten to the parking garage around 10 am which was great because online and at the actual lot the hours say the parking opens at 9am. But when I left the security guard claimed the lot was actually "closed" when I had gotten there earlier? And next time if it happened I’d have to pay extra? Seems like the security guard wasn’t at his post like he was supposed to be. He didn’t even charge my card for the time I was there lmao. Also the ticket machine is still broken so just be aware of all this if you plan to park here. Seems better to just Uber here to be safe.
More parking the lower you go in the parking structure. Elevator and stairs accessible on every level. Get ticket stub at gate then pay at machine before exitting, although, when I was there, the machines were taped off and so I had to pay at the booth. Furthermore, I felt confident that my car and belongings were secure, as the parking lot is on a relatively safe street, right across from a huge apartment building construction site. I would definitely park here again if I needed to come back to that part of Downtown. TL;DR Safe, secure, easy ingress and egress parking garage
The best parking for visiting Little Tokyo. The paying machine has been broken for well over a year, so just pay on your way out to the attendant. It’s fairly cheap. There’s a ton of parking availability if you go below, the first floor is either compact spaces or outdoors.
