We hired Golden Age to transform our bathroom, and I’m happy that we chose them after seeing the outcome. I really like their clarity on project details, including tasks and the timeline, which were clearly communicated, leaving no room for hidden surprises. We completed the project within the agreed-upon timeframe. Ben and the rest of the team are exceptionally transparent in their communication with the customer and highly adaptable to accommodate any new requests. I highly recommend their services.

We redid our master bath. And the outcome is absolutely stunning. Thomas was with us every step of the way he truly is professional. He knows that he knows the work and we also worked with Danielle the designer who was absolutely patient with us. She guided us on different types of colors materials, and advise us how to lower the costs. We absolutely recommend golden age Builders and we wanted to tell Thomas and Daniel. Thank you so much for the hard work. We just didn’t want them to think that the hard work they did went unnoticed.

Finding a good and trusting contractor is very hard to find. From the jump Danielle and Tomas made us feel like family. Then came along Michael. He was wonderful too! We truly love this family and their crew. They were able to work with us through these trying times and worked with our budget. We had two additional rooms, a master bathroom, a small deck and tons more added to our house. Very easy to work with and very organized from beginning to end. I plan to use them for future projects. Our project was to remodel 3 bathrooms, paint inside and outside and add siding to the outside, tile in the entry and fireplace. The time quote was 3-4 months and we moved back in after 3 1/2 months. Good customer service and a very fast response when I call or texted. They gave me a lot of guidance picking the light fixtures and bathroom faucets. Golden Age Builders is a great choice for any remodel!

From the first call, the customer service was really good and Thomas (the owner) came out for a free consultation which honestly made the whole process feel easy right away. Danielle the designer was amazing too, she showed us so many great options for the kitchen remodel and helped us pick a layout and finishes that actually made sense for our space. The design came out beautiful and everything went flawless from start to finish. Golden Age Builders did a great job and we’re super happy with how the kitchen turned out.

Awful experience. They made a great first impression but TERRIBLE end to our relationship. They called the job done when there was no less than 5 agreed to tasks that weren't done. When I pointed that out they finally finished it so cheaply that even after a week it's falling apart. For instance, I asked for a trim around the tub to cover a gap and they used a cheap plastic pictured. They took off the tub and reinstalled it and now every time it drains water pours out of the light on the first floor so obviously they didn't even test it out before calling it finished. They claim it was a problem with our plumbing or the previous contractor, but why didn't they test it so I would know before finding the pleasant surprise with my first bath?? It's not a small, subtle thing. Water literally pours from the leak, but at no point did they even acknowledge the huge problem. In the end it wasn't worth arguing over, but I didn't think we owed them the final $2k of a $30k+ bill due to our lack of satisfaction. Instead of acknowledging that, they just kept sending invoices. In the end, the company took a measly $800 off and my husband paid just to get them out of our house. I have all the texts and emails listing our complaints that were just dismissed.

I highly recommend Golden Age Builders (GA). We recently hired GA to demolish and convert our lower crawlspace/storage space to a city permitted Additional Dwelling Unit (ADU). The project consisted of adding a kitchen, bathroom, windows, flooring etc. I gathered nearly 10 bids from different contractors. GA was neither the most expensive nor the least. They stayed true to their estimate. Their design team suggested great ideas that could enhance our space. The most impactful to mention would be a change to the bathroom floor plan which utilized the entire space much better. GA said they could complete the project within 4 – 6 months. They were finished in 5 months. They worked well with Los Angeles City Plan Checkers and Inspectors. Each inspection passed on the first attempt. During one inspection, the LA city inspector even pointed out our plumbing to an inspector trainee as ‘the right way to do it’ which he said many contractors do not do. I was proud at that moment for my choice to go with GA. As first-time homeowners we were new to many processes. The GA team took time to explain any and all processes. There were times when my messages were blunt. They never responded with frustration. But rather took time to explain the options and allowed us to make the decisions on our own. In the beginning, Golden Age pitched their company as a family operation that treats their customers likewise. They had several opportunities to prove this notion. At each, they went above and beyond. For example, late one evening, our toilet backed up. It turned out to be unrelated to the construction being done. Still GA sent a plumber immediately at 8:00 PM. The plumber literally ran up and down a steep hill dozens of times to fix the issue that same night. Their workers were kind to my family, even making sure to close doors behind them to keep our dog in the yard. Which is a tedious thing to do when lugging materials and tools in and out all day. After 5 months you get to know some crew. I can say humorously that after months of construction beneath my feet I couldn’t wait for the work to stop. But I have missed the team members since they’re gone. I think that indicates that they made good on the family promise. We are now enjoying our permitted space more each day. Thank you, Golden Age!
