Paul was super friendly and helpful. My vehicle was done properly by Carlos the technician was super helpful and demonstrated the problems and made sure I was safe driving the vehicle.

I've been coming to Pep Boys for my oil change and tire rotation for over 10 years now. I always have a great experience and great interaction with everyone here. Everyone knows my 2003 Toyota Camry and how to take care of the vehicle. Paul and Tyler have always been good to me. The biggest compliment I can give them is their honesty. They originally diagnosed an issue with my wheel bearings that was going to be over $600. After further reviewing the issue, the technician, Diego, found a loose bolt which required tighten that resolved my tire issue. That saved me the cost of getting new wheel bearings. I highly recommend coming here for your mechanical needs!

I want to recognize Tyler Makert for the outstanding service he provided during my last visit to Pep Boys. Experiences like this are exactly why great employees deserve to be acknowledged. Tyler took the time to break down what was going on with my vehicle and explained everything in a way that was straightforward and easy to understand. His knowledge was obvious, but what stood out even more was his willingness to slow down and make sure I fully understood what was happening and what my options were. What I appreciated most was his professionalism and honesty. He answered my questions without rushing the conversation and made the entire process feel transparent and comfortable. That level of customer service builds real trust when you're dealing with vehicle repairs. Tyler represents the kind of professionalism and care that makes a difference for customers. Because of the way he handled everything, I would absolutely recommend asking for him if you visit this location.

Brought car in for check engine "free tests". I was aware I had an oil leak. However, when checking in, I was told that check engine light and oil leak were two separate problems by younger agent. $136 "free test" returned two check engine light codes. Pep Boys told me to fix the car, I needed oil gasket and spark plugs replaced , engine bay cleaning (outsourced because they do not do this) to fix oil leak and I was told my catalytic converter completely failed and needed to be replaced. The part is $4000 plus labor to install. And I was told I needed to replace 2 tires. I chose to replace tires at Walmart and just fix oil leak at Pep Boys. When I picked up car, check engine light was still on. Next day, check engine light turned off and has not gone back on. Long story short, catalytic converter is fine, did not need to be replaced. According to GPTChat and Quality Muffler in Visalia, the combination of the two check engine codes meant the primary problem was an oil leak causing converter to temporarily fail due to lean bank 1 oil leak problem. There was no reason to replace the catalytic converter. Initial repair should be to fix oil leak. But when I chose on my own to only fix the oil leak, one of the younger agents said to me rudely - what is the point of the repair if you do not replace the converter? That is quite overwhelming to hear, and as it turned out , the dumb female who consulted GPT Chat- chose the right path of repair for the car. It is concerning that Pep Boys mechanics did not interpret the two codes for the check engine light the way GPT Chat and Quality Muffler in Visalia, CA did. I would not bring my car back for check engine light diagnostics to Pep Boys in Visalia, CA in the future. I would go elsewhere. Diagnostic tests are advertised as free - but cost $136 on top of $480.00 repairs. Expensive, and quite overwhelming experience. I am glad I consulted GPTchat, thank god for AI, and I made the right repair decisions through AI in this case, saving about $5000 from the quoted repair costs I was given.
