Working with Maloree has been one of the best decisions I’ve ever made for my dog. The transformation is honestly remarkable. My girl came home leash trained, responsive, and calm in a way I didn’t even know was possible. Walks used to be stressful, but now she ignores other animals completely and stays focused and confident beside me. One of the biggest wins is that she no longer gets on the furniture which is something I thought would be impossible to break. The structure and consistency Maloree taught her has carried over seamlessly at home. And maybe the most surprising part: My dog now cohabitates peacefully with cats. That alone feels like a miracle. The patience, skill, and understanding it took to help her reach that level of regulation says everything about the quality of Maloree’s training. Maloree didn’t just train my dog, she gave us a calmer, happier home and a dog who feels secure, capable, and connected. I’m so grateful for her expertise, communication, and genuine care. I would recommend her to anyone who wants real, lasting change with their dog.
Rob was fantastic with our dogs! We completed a 7-lesson package with him and have seen great progress with our stubborn old lady, Stella. He's patient, skilled, and very flexible with scheduling which we really appreciated. Would highly recommend him to anyone looking for a quality dog trainer.
We had a wonderful experience with Lindsey from Koru K9. We have a six-year-old Australian Shepherd and an eight-month-old Australian Shepherd who both needed some solid training — plus we have a newborn, so finding the right person to handle things in one shot was a must. Also, finding someone who would come pick up the dog was so convenient. We are in Mill Valley and she came from Santa Rosa so he was relatively close 🙂 We’re absolutely thrilled with Lindsey and all the work she did with Gizmo, our intact puppy. Working with an unfixed dog is no small task! He ended up staying with her for about a month, and her property was perfect — tons of space in the backyard where he could run and play. She also trains guide dogs for the blind, which made us feel even more confident that he was in the hands of the best of the best. She sent us biweekly updates, was always responsive, and truly made the whole "sending your dog away" part so much easier. Of course we missed him and would prefer to have him with us always, but Lindsey kept us informed and genuinely made us feel good about the experience. She was incredibly patient, walking us through everything we needed to know — because let’s be honest, sometimes we need just as much training as the dogs, lol. Would 100% recommend her to anyone.
We are so happy that we invested with Koru K9 and trainer Will Greenway (Portland, OR). He was very professional and knowledgeable. We have two adorable, but poorly behaved, terrier/chi rescue dogs. As first time dog owners, my husband and I we weren’t very prepared or knowledgeable about dog training, especially reactive dogs. Our girls have different challenges that we weren’t able to manage; Kiwi (darker dog) is very friendly but leash reactive to other dogs (walking her was sometimes embarrassing!) and Cricket (lighter dog) was aggressive to visitors at our house. Working with Will has given us the training and confidence we needed to better work with our dogs! We now look forward to seeing a dog while walking Kiwi and aren’t afraid to have visitors! We still have a ways to go with our girls, but we now feel confident that we have the skills to work through challenges. The training has genuinely made me feel more connected to my dogs and that I’m a better owner. I would definitely work with Will again as we evolve on our training journey.
Where do I start? Short answer: HIGHLY RECOMMEND Long answer: My 2 y/o dog, Gamble, spent 3 weeks with Maloree (Portland, OR area) to address leash reactivity and other non-aggressive, excitable behaviors - and the results have been AWESOME. Gamble came home with significantly improved leash skills, a renewed obedience structure, and, subsequently, great improvements in almost all areas of behavior including recall and just general obedience. Maloree spent dedicated time with me, as well, to train my abilities in order to continue his development and maintain the progress. Walks have been so much fun with the new confidence we both have, and it just keeps getting better. Walks used to be very cautious and avoidant; now walks are stimulating and productive. Nothing beats getting back from a good, long walk with a happy, tired dog. The growth of the on-leash behavior has also transferred into other areas such as off-leash recall and responsiveness in the house. At first I was reluctant to reach out for professional training. I’m a proud "dog person" and have always just trained my dogs on my own. I thought it was perhaps an overreaction and that there wouldn’t be much to gain, but I must say I am so glad I did. It has been such a great investment and our already strong bond has only gotten stronger as a result. My dog, like many, thrives under structure and routine, and Maloree really helped get us back on a good track. Additionally, I could really tell that my dog and Maloree formed a special bond as well, and it was obvious that he was wonderfully cared for and shown a lot of love while he was in her care. From start to finish, communication was informative and professional, and the updates from Maloree during the training was really nice and reassuring. I can’t thank or recommend Maloree enough - so worth it. Love from Jackson and Gamble.
