Overall experience was amazing. The availability and ease of the getting in and out of the parks and downtown makes it worth it. The rooms are very comfortable and its Disney so customer service was top notch. The room was said to be ready but when we got to the room they were still cleaning up with room service – no biggie but it was literally the only thing that was not 100%

I’ve had the privilege of staying here a few times since it opened, and have always had an amazing time. The cast members here are simply the best of the best, and always made my family and I feel welcome. The lobby is immaculate, and the details all around are truly stunning. We had a view overlooking Grizzly Peak and it was always fun watching the park come alive as the sun rose in the morning. The DVC area is a bit of a walk, but very nice as well. I’ve never stayed in the DVC section myself, but had a family member who did and showed us around. If you can, I’d highly recommend splurging and staying here. There’s nothing like going on Grizzly River Rapids multiple times in a row, getting drenched, and being a short walk to your hotel room to shower and change and pop back into the park via your own private entrance. Especially in the morning. I love walking in and getting a head start on nearby rides that are a bit of a walk from the main entrance. One of my favorite details of the resort is the stained glass doors at the entrance. If you ever have a chance to stop and admire them, do. They’re gorgeous, and similar imagery is sprinkled throughout the resort. This hotel is truly a work of art.

PROS: – LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION! Within California Adventure Park. You get tired or need to change, you just walk on over to your hotel room! The absolute best!! – Cleanliness. Turndown service is free. – Room service and restaurant food did not disappoint. Fresh food. Try the room service spaghetti!! The best I’ve ever had. Room service was faster than other places I’ve stayed at. – park views from the hidden terraces – if you book through Disney directly you get a travel extras package with discounts to some shops and restaurants. You also get a premium lanyard and pin (while supplies last) – knowledgeable, courteous, and helpful staff – free tours of the hotel for guests – stunning architecture and lobby design – live music in the lobby – gift shop with everything from Disney items down to Ben Gay for the aches and pains. – Beautiful pools. Slide pool for the kiddos. CONS – no parking structure right next to hotel. If you don’t do valet, you will have a walk. – no water bottles in your room. Take your own larger water bottle to fill up for your morning coffee. – non guests are allowed in the main lobby area as well. When you want to go down and enjoy the rocking chairs by the fireplace or leather couches, it is pretty packed. Some days we couldn’t find a seat to sit and listen to the piano playing. – It is pricey, but you get what you pay for. – restaurant we wanted to eat at was under construction..call before you go.

We stayed at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa to celebrate our engagement, and it was the perfect place for such a special milestone. The hotel is beautiful, peaceful, and filled with the Disney magic that makes memories last a lifetime. From the stunning craftsman-style lobby and cozy fireplace to the beautiful details throughout the resort, everything feels warm and welcoming. The location is unbeatable, with easy walking access to Disneyland, Disney California Adventure, and Downtown Disney. The dedicated entrance into Disney California Adventure is such a convenient perk. The rooms are comfortable, clean, and have a cozy retreat-like feel after a long day in the parks. We loved coming back to a relaxing space while still being right in the middle of the magic. The cast members were wonderful overall and added to the special feeling of our engagement celebration. We did have one disappointing moment during our stay—my husband had arranged for flowers to be delivered to our room as a surprise to celebrate our engagement, but unfortunately they were not brought up to the room and were later found sitting in the back area. It was a small detail, but it was a meaningful one, and it was sad to miss that special surprise during such an important celebration. We hope future stays have stronger communication around special requests and deliveries. The dining options, atmosphere, and attention to detail throughout the hotel make it a truly special Disney experience. Despite that one hiccup, we still loved our time at the Grand Californian and appreciate the beauty and magic of the resort. The Grand Californian will always hold a special place in our hearts. It was the perfect backdrop for celebrating one of the happiest moments of our lives, and we can’t wait to return.

My fiancée ’ attended the lobby bar for a casual drink and some appetizers, but little did I know I’d be staying for dinner! I was quickly greeted by Carson upon arrival. We were served drinks and the menu was fully explained – and the food came out 10/10 Another addition to the night was our other server Kai – helped refill drinks and check in on how we were doing! Overall it was a top tier night out at the resort! Javier did a great job as well bringing up our vehicle after dinner. We will be coming again!

Absolutely stunning resort, we rented a villa it was huge with 3 bedrooms and 3 1/2 bath huge private lawn with a hot pool full kitchen and all the amenities. The spa was fantastic, got a deep tissue massage and it was heaven! The food options are great on a good day when they have pop up vendors. Otherwise making a Rez at the restaurants can be hit or miss

We had the most wonderful weekend celebrating a birthday at Terranea! The grounds are absolutely breathtaking, the staff went above and beyond, and our room was even better than expected. It was incredibly spacious, perfect for four of us to stay comfortably and get ready together. One of my favorite touches was the complimentary transportation around the property. It made getting around so easy, and Patrick was an amazing driver who made every ride enjoyable. We also spent the day at the Food & Wine Festival, which featured an incredible variety of food and drinks. Every detail was thoughtfully curated, making it such a memorable experience. A special shoutout to Ralph for the exceptional hospitality. You truly made our stay unforgettable. We already can’t wait for our next visit!

We stayed in one of the villas, and it was incredibly spacious and perfect for our family. From the moment we drove onto the property until the day we checked out, everything exceeded our expectations. A special thank you to Ruben, our valet greeter, who welcomed us with such kindness and made us feel right at home from the start. We’d also like to recognize Lesly, who kept our villa spotless and made our stay even more comfortable. The property is beautiful, the service is exceptional, and the food was excellent. We had a wonderful experience and would absolutely stay here again. Highly recommend!

We had such a lovely stay! The hotel is beautiful, everything was really clean, the amenities are great, and you can’t beat the location. The walls are a little thin, but that was really our only complaint. Mike was awesome and really made our stay. He was so friendly and professional, helped us out right away, and went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of. You can tell he genuinely cares about giving guests a great experience. We had such a great time and will definitely be back. Thank you!

Very good! This resort is very beautiful. It has a waterfront view with a balcony and palm trees. Not a very far walk from the Huntington Pier. The really convenient thing I like was that there was a bridge that connects the hotel to the beach instead of waiting minutes on the crosswalk. This hotel was massive. Two major pools, and slides. Really love the amenities, alongside with free, strong wifi and a minibar. I have also never seen a hotel with a water refilling machine alongside with a hot water dispenser. 6 stars if I could. Such an experience I will never forget in my life. Staff are very nice The beds are very comfortable, even the couch in the lobby was comfortable. There were many restaurants to choose from, and they were very delicious. Game zone was $5 per 100 credits and was still very fun, I played air hockey with people. Overall, a gorgeous experience for the first time I tried Hyatt. Honestly don’t know why this is a 4 star hotel. Sad that I only stayed here for a night.

We did a little beach getaway and stayed here. The resort was very big, accommodating and fun. The kids had a blast at the water slides. The resort has its own private bridge to the beach which was perfect. Pete’s Sunset Grill was the perfect spot to have dinner. Lastly, having a fire-pit right outside our room was the ultimate way to wind down as the kids roasted marshmallows!

I had a wonderful stay at the Hyatt for a girl’s night out! One of the best aspects was the convenience; everything was so close by, making it easy to enjoy our time together. We spent our days just hanging out, doing absolutely nothing, and indulging in delightful brunches, dinners, and breakfasts. The room service was fantastic, with prompt delivery and delicious options that really enhanced our experience. Plus, the views from our room were simply amazing, overlooking the pool and the ocean, which added a beautiful backdrop to our relaxation. The attentiveness of the staff was also noteworthy. They were always ready to assist, ensuring that our needs were met and that we had a carefree getaway. Overall, we had a great time and created lasting memories. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone looking for a fun and relaxing escape!

We had a wonderful stay at Bahia Resort! The grounds are absolutely beautiful, with lush landscaping and a peaceful atmosphere. The private bay was one of our favorite parts—it was calm, relaxing, and perfect for enjoying the water. The food was excellent, and every meal we had was delicious. I also want to give a special thank you to Daniel. He went above and beyond to help me find a missing item, and I am incredibly grateful for his kindness, dedication, and outstanding customer service. Employees like Daniel truly make a difference and are a big reason we’ll remember our stay so fondly. We recently hosted our company’s Annual Retreat at the Bahia Resort, and the experience was exceptional from start to finish. Every staff member we encountered both during the planning stages and throughout our stay was professional, accommodating, and a pleasure to work with. A special thank you goes to Jennifer Stack, who is an absolute gem. Jennifer is highly experienced, attentive, and incredibly organized. Her meticulous attention to detail made my job as an organizer significantly easier, and she consistently went above and beyond to ensure our events success. Despite experiencing extreme, unpredictable heat and humidity, Jennifer and her team handled everything flawlessly to meet our needs. The cocktail hour, buffet on the Bahia Belle, and beach game setup were huge hits with our team, and the air conditioned Marina Room provided the perfect comfort. With its excellent location, beautiful rooms, and stellar service, we highly recommend Bahia Resort for corporate events.

I prefer a soft bed versus firm, so I am leaving that part out. Great pillows! Room AC blew cold! Location is great. Walkable beach, but you have your own private beach as well. Great food at Dockside. Staff and service is spot on. Great pool and amenities. I’d stay here again.

I cannot even begin to describe how beautiful and great this places with words me and my family have been going to this hotel for over 10 years and every single time it gets better better. It even has very fun activities for kids like scavenger hunts bingo, trivia, and much more. The service is incredible. All the workers are very nice and polite. The place it is is very beautiful. They even has his own private beach so we could even get a room with its own private beach. Overall this is a great place. The pool is very big too, and the Jacuzzi is very big too and it feels really nice. I would 1000% recommend this place is so great.

My kids and I had the best experience staying at this resort hotel! The management and employees were amazing as they went above and beyond anything that could have been expected of them! They made us feel like we were part of their team or like we had an inside person there that would pull strings for us, yet we didn’t. The rooms were perfect and the location on the beach was even better! I can’t say nothing good things about this resort and the people running it. We had such a great experience here. It started with Tim at check-in. He was so accommodating and so nice to the drama that we had experience before we got to the resort. He identified that and knew what to do. The stay itself was great. The room was exactly what we needed. We had breakfast at the dockside and Jessica was spectacular. The food was really good as well. We will definitely be back. We’re already talking about bringing our family back here for a long weekend to stay this summer.

Excellent Anniversary Stay at Waldorf Astoria Monarch Beach This was our second visit to the resort, chosen specifically to celebrate our 29th wedding anniversary on June 28th, and it did not disappoint. Key Highlights: Service: The customer service remains excellent across the board. As Hilton Diamond members, we were offered a room upgrade, which was greatly appreciated. Amenities: The resort grounds are beautiful, and having access to the private beach club is always a major highlight of the stay. Dining: We had both lunch and dinner at Aveo Table & Bar. Both the food quality and the service were outstanding. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely return.

Our hotel stay was absolutely lovely. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. As we had just gotten married they kindly upgraded us for our honeymoon stay. The room was very nice, modern, and big with a wonderful bath tub. Even the robe and slippers were great. The views from this place are absolutely stunning and we would highly recommend doing one of their suggested walks. We also enjoyed our breakfast as well from one of the restaurants (Aveo) and there are a ton of other spots. We would love the opportunity to stay here again.

Beautiful property with excellent staff. The property is slightly tucked away from the main road, so your entire stay is serene. We stayed for a few nights to end our trip to LA, and it was a great ending. Calm and relaxing property. Fitness center was large and well stocked with different machines. The spa, though we didn’t get to go this time, looked beautiful. Can’t wait to get back there.

I was pleasantly surprised with the location and the beautiful grounds. The tropical feel made me feel like I was on an island. Loved being along the shoreline- a sweet retreat. The amenities were perfect: pool, market, restaurants, gym. Easy access to the shoreline, plenty of parking, several fire pits available (first come-first serve). You’ll be a short drive to Coronado, Downtown, and other San Diego destinations. I also appreciated the quick drive to the airport. Lastly, I recommend snagging a room near the water.

A Wonderful Anniversary Stay—Almost Like Hawaii We had an outstanding anniversary stay at Paradise Point. The food was a real highlight, especially the amazing breakfast sandwich at Barefoot Bar & Grill. We also enjoyed the coffee selection each morning, and our meal at the resort’s upscale restaurant was one of the best we’ve had in a long time. We ordered several different appetizers and simply enjoyed the food and atmosphere together. The pool area was beautiful, and every employee we encountered was friendly and helpful. Our original room had a very strong musty, moldy smell, but the staff moved us to another room that was much better. We had looked forward to relaxing in the Adirondack chairs outside our waterfront room, but an extremely bright streetlight shone directly onto our patio. It made sitting outside at night uncomfortable, which was disappointing—especially since ours appeared to be the only room in that area affected by it. Our only other suggestion concerns the pool. When it became busy, many lounge chairs had towels left on them even after guests had departed, making it difficult to know which chairs were actually available. Signs asking guests to remove their towels when leaving, or having staff clear abandoned towels, would make a big difference. Those issues aside, we truly enjoyed our stay and had a wonderful anniversary. Paradise Point may be the closest thing to a Hawaiian getaway without the trip to Hawaii. We would absolutely consider staying again.

Overall, we had a good stay. The hotel is beautiful, the rooms are very comfortable, and both the pool and the amenities are fantastic. However, one issue worth mentioning is the housekeeping service. We stayed for 5 nights, but our room was only made up 2 times during our stay, even though we never put up the «Do Not Disturb» sign. For a hotel of this category, we definitely expected daily room service.

It’s centrally located which was super nice. Really easy and fast to get onto the freeway. The who place was clean and the people working there were extremely welcoming. Now the negatives. Granted I went in the off season but nothing was open. The website claims several restaurants and bars on site. There was only one restaurant open the entire week I was there. They also, let a company reserve the game room/lounge one night so we couldn’t use that. The giant pool is also not heated so it was extremely cold to use. The biggest negative of all was the toilet paper they provide. I had to go buy my own roll because their TP was just painful to use. It was porta potty quality. With all that said, we had a great time and I’d def recommend it. I just wish they were a bit more transparent with what will be there during our stay but it was still a nice spot. Just go on the summer it’ll be better.

My husband, 4 year old son and I came to stay at this resort for our 10 year wedding anniversary! Can I just say what an amazing place. It did not dissapoint. The Concierge, Katie was awesome! She was very helpful and super nice. She surprised us with a nice card and bottle of wine to celebrate our anniversary. Can’t wait to come back and have her help us with more adventures. The outdoor bartender Steve and poolside server were also awesome! Great drinks and food! They were very friendly and helped direct us to some good local restaurants. We highly reccomend this resort. We stayed for 3 nights with our 2 kids. The location is beautiful. Next to the beach and beautiful for sunsets. Unfortunately the pool area is not very clean. The pool water was very dirty too. The rugs in rooms are very dirty too and there was definitely a mold problem with the AC. The rooms smelled like mold and it got worse by turning on the AC. We asked to change rooms and got a new one right away but still had the smelly problem.

We came here for a day (had to cut our stay short because of how bad it was). Check in process was fine. When we arrived at the room it was immediately evident that the hotel needs to be completely gutted and renovated. Our bathroom resembled one from Motel 6. The room was extremely dated and unclean. The air conditioner was not functioning normally. The front desk sent a repair person who had to adjust it. When he removed the filter he explained that it was dirty and needed to be replaced. My mother-in-law’s room was a bit nicer and most certainly updated. Despite being updated her air vents had never been dusted or cleaned. The pool was the primary reason I won’t be back. It was packed with ill mannered children screaming and low class adults vaping in the pool. People who couldn’t swim were sitting on the pool stairs so you couldn’t physically enter the pool. Pool furniture was incredibly worn. Pool side food was inedible. This is a low quality hotel perfect for low quality people.

Great trip. The room was very clean and stayed cool in the 118° heat. The bathroom had a ton of space, mirrors, and ligting, which would make it suitable for multiple people to get ready at the same time. We upped and got a cabana by the Conchilla pool and I’m very happy we did. There was really cozy seating and attentive staff. We were close enough to the family pool and Splashtopia to enjoy the fun without being constantly surrounded by the chaos. We talked about bringing our son here since there seemed to be so much to do for the kids. The campus of the hotel was very nice, situated right on a golf course. We were a close drive to just about anything we wanted. I was surprised at how nice the gym was. It had a lot of great equipment that had been well maintained. They even had a log in to use the pelaton that was free to use.

We had a wonderful stay at Omni Rancho Las Palmas. The resort was beautiful, clean, comfortable, and very relaxing. We especially loved the pool area, the grounds, and the family-friendly atmosphere. As busy working parents, we don’t always get enough time away together, so this trip meant a lot to us. It gave us the chance to slow down, relax, and spend quality time as a family. I’m attaching a photo of a note our 8-year-old son wrote on our first day. He decided to rate different parts of the resort himself. He gave the outdoor areas, the beds, and the overall place excellent scores. The TV received a 1/10—not because there was anything wrong with it, but because he was having so much fun exploring the resort that he had no interest in watching television! Seeing how much he enjoyed our stay says more than I ever could. Thank you for helping our family create such special memories. We left feeling rested, happy, and grateful, and we hope to come back again soon. «The best part of our stay was seeing our son so happy. Those family memories are priceless, and we are truly grateful for the experience.»

Our check-in process was easy, being a Wednesday. Clear directions, introductions of the resort amenities and helpful suggestions were provided by Ashley. After receiving our wristbands for the pool, complimentary drink coupons, and keycards, off we went to look for our room. Located in building 28, and on the 2nd floor facing the greens, pond and mountain range in the distance, I felt it was the a good choice. We sat in on the balcony to enjoy the serene views, and just a minute walk away were 2 pools to choose from. One «smaller» Conchilla pool opens at 7am, and the larger more popular pool splashtopia opens at 9am. The lazy river connected to it, opens at 10am til 6pm. The early summer temperature of 105f during the day and 80f at night, is a good reason to sit in the pool all day until it closes at 10pm. Couple of reasons to have a room in the 2nd floor… you can hang out your wet swimwear to dry safely & you won’t hear kids running about above you. The bathroom amenities smell so good, just like being at a spa. We do need to eat at some point so let me tell you, the Palms Café is good for breakfast, the Double Date is great for a nice romantic dinner and if you want to venture past the property walls, there are restaurants less than a mile away like Yardhouse an ice cream shop, sushi etc. There is an REI store behind the Yardhouse, if you are into outdoor gear. We decided to use our drink coupons at the Splash grill by the pool, and Travis was kind enough to give us our drinks even though they were closing for the day. At the Double Date restaurant, my lamb osso buco (tender flavorful, no gamey taste) was excellent and there was enough to pack for lunch the next day, maybe coz I ate too much freshly baked butter rolls with date butter. Hubby’s veal chop parmesan was huge! As an anniversary surprise, we were given a treat of white wine poached pear. Deeeelish. Hubby loves all things chocolate so we had chocolate cake too. Edgar and the rest of the staff were so attentive and friendly. Highly recommended. There is a fairly large gift shop at the resort with a lot of very nice items for souvenirs. If you need sunblock, swimwear, clothes, footwear, toiletries, they have that too. 2 nights was a great getaway at the Omni, though I would avoid holidays and weekends to get some relaxation time.

My wife and I stayed here during our honeymoon. The entire property is beautiful, luxurious and very well maintained. Every person we encountered from check in, valet, poolside staff, to the restaurant staff were beyond hospitable and did everything they could to make our stay great. We stayed in the Ritz Carlton suite which was a stunning 2br, 2.5 bath with a large balcony facing the ocean. We wish we would have stayed longer because there is a limitless number of amenities and things to do at the property and surrounding area. Thank you again to the entire hotel staff!

This is our annual couples trip hotel and we could not love it more. The staff is extraordinary, with high touch but never saccharin service. Everyone from the check in staff to the facility maintenance is dedicated to doing the highest quality work. The food on grounds is actually quite good, especially angel oak which would be a special meal no matter where the setting. Our favorite Somm in the world is theirs, and we’ve shared many special meals there. We discovered our favorite restaurant in the world years ago through the concierge at this hotel, a local who is so knowledgeable she could traverse a two hour radius without a map in the dark. This hotel even picked us up when we got in over our skis on a biking trip and realized we couldn’t make it home- in a sprinter van, with smiles on their faces. Some of the rooms could be updated, but they are all perfect in their own way- comfortable, inviting, and beautiful. The hotel has done a beautiful job with their grounds, preserving native flora including the wild herbs that make the whole place smell like a spa. Come with your family and experience it for yourself!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ My family and I had an outstanding experience at the Hilton Santa Barbara Beachfront Resort. The property is beautiful, but what truly makes this resort special is its exceptional staff. I especially want to recognize Front Office Manager Marissa Quintana. When our initial stay did not begin as expected, Marissa listened carefully, showed genuine empathy, and took complete ownership of the situation. Her professionalism and thoughtful service turned a disappointing first impression into an amazing experience. On our return trip from Monterey, she arranged a beautiful ocean-view room for our family, and our stay was absolutely wonderful. Marissa is an outstanding leader and a true example of world-class hospitality. Her front desk team: Gillian, Bootsie, Cupid, and Krysten—was also friendly, welcoming, and extremely helpful. The bell desk employees were courteous and attentive, and our breakfast experience in the dining room was excellent. Everyone we encountered made us feel genuinely valued. There are many hotels to choose from in Santa Barbara, but it is employees like Marissa and her wonderful team who will keep us coming back to this resort. Thank you for making our family’s visit so memorable. Highly recommended!

Looking for a top tier beach front resort in a prime location of Santa Barbara? Look no further! I rolled up to check in almost an hour before the stated check in time and not only did they get me into a room immediately, but they also upgraded my room type! After stopping by my sweet room, I walked like 5 feet to an awesome beach. Once finished at the beach, I walked like 5 minutes to Stearns Wharf and State Street. Didn’t need my car at all, but even if I did, it was super easy getting in and out of the hotel parking lot. On the first night we realized we sure could use an extra blanket for the pullout sofa. So I called the front desk and they had it delivered in barely 15 minutes even though it was almost 1030pm. Great staff on top of the great location. All in all, it was a fantastic experience and I would definitely return!

Stayed at the Hilton for 5 days for a business meeting/conference organized at the hotel. Disregarding the service and price the hotel is great: the beach is right in front of it, the pool and hot tub are great alternatives, the rooms are big and the beds are comfy. The service though is not great… (1) When I arrived in the room the bottle of red wine was half empty, I warned the front desk who told me that they took note in their system and I will not be charged when checking out. When checking out I reconfirmed this information with the front desk again. Few hours after leaving the hotel, I get charged $53 for that bottle. It took me a week and several phone calls to get reimbursed. (2) Both my phone and laptop devices were not connecting to the wifi at the beginning and the front desk did not provide me any alternative than calling a service external to the hotel (I was not the only person in this situation). (3) I have booked the hotel with a business card and I was expecting to pay only the incidentals. Unfortunately they wanted the business card which I did not have. At the end the financial service of the hotel helped me figure out how to make the right changes. (4) A few other small things. Overall, for a hotel that one pays over $2k for 5 nights I expect these details to not happen. Maybe I was crazy unlucky but I felt that the hotel is trying to make as much money as possible out of their customers (e.g. $20 resort fee per day).

What types of resorts are available in California?

California offers a diverse range of resorts, catering to various tastes and budgets. You'll find stunning oceanfront resorts along the Pacific Coast, luxurious mountain resorts nestled in the Sierra Nevada, and unique desert resorts offering a tranquil escape. The options extend to spa resorts focused on wellness, family resorts with extensive recreational facilities, and even historic resorts steeped in California’s rich past. Each offers a distinct experience, from thrilling water sports to serene relaxation.

What is the best time of year to visit a California resort?

The best time to visit a California resort depends largely on your desired activity and the specific resort location. Summer (June-August) is peak season, offering warm weather ideal for swimming, surfing, and outdoor activities, but also attracting larger crowds and higher prices. Spring (April-May) and Fall (September-October) provide pleasant temperatures, fewer tourists, and often offer seasonal events. Winter (December-February) is primarily for mountain resorts, offering opportunities for skiing and snowboarding, but be prepared for snow and higher costs during holidays. Always check the weather forecasts and event calendars before booking.

How much do California resorts typically cost?

The cost of a California resort can vary dramatically, depending on several factors including the resort’s location, time of year, room type, and amenities offered. Oceanfront resorts and those in desirable areas like Laguna Beach or Santa Barbara tend to be the most expensive. Mountain resorts during ski season also command higher prices. Generally, expect to pay anywhere from $200 to $1000+ per night, with luxury resorts exceeding this significantly. Booking in advance, especially during peak season, can help secure better rates. Consider package deals that combine accommodation with activities or dining.

What amenities are typically offered at California resorts?

California resorts frequently offer a wide array of amenities to enhance your stay. Many include swimming pools (indoor and outdoor), hot tubs, fitness centers, spa services, and restaurants offering diverse cuisines. Some resorts feature tennis courts, golf courses, beach access, water sports equipment rentals, and organized activities for children and adults. The specific amenities will vary depending on the resort’s focus and target audience. Be sure to check the resort’s website for a detailed list.

Are there family-friendly resorts in California?

Yes, California boasts numerous family-friendly resorts designed to cater to guests of all ages. These resorts often provide kids’ clubs, playgrounds, game rooms, family suites, and pool areas specifically designed for children. Many also offer family-oriented activities such as scavenger hunts, arts and crafts, and movie nights. Research resorts that prioritize family needs and consider the age range of your children when making your decision. Look for resorts with on-site childcare options for added peace of mind.

What are the transportation options to California resorts?

Getting to a California resort depends on its location. Oceanfront resorts are often accessible by car, though some may require shuttle services. Mountain resorts are typically best reached by car, particularly during winter months when roads may be affected by snow. Many resorts offer airport shuttles, but it’s essential to confirm availability and book in advance. Public transportation options are limited, especially outside of major cities. Consider rental cars for maximum flexibility, but be mindful of potential traffic and parking challenges.

What kind of activities can I do at a California resort?

The activities available at a California resort are as diverse as the resorts themselves. Along the coast, you can enjoy surfing, kayaking, paddleboarding, whale watching tours, and exploring nearby beaches. In the mountains, options include skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing, and hiking. Many resorts also offer wine tasting tours, cooking classes, and cultural excursions. Research the local attractions and outdoor adventures to plan your itinerary.

Are there any luxury resorts in California?

Absolutely. California is home to several world-renowned luxury resorts offering unparalleled service and amenities. These resorts often feature private beaches, gourmet restaurants, personalized concierge services, exclusive spa treatments, and sumptuous suites. Destinations like Rancho La Brea, The Peninsula Beverly Hills and St. Regis Monarch Beach are known for their exceptional standards and premium experiences. Expect to pay a premium for this level of service and accommodation.

How can I find deals on California resorts?

Finding deals on California resorts requires some research and planning. Start by comparing prices on online travel agencies like Expedia, Booking.com, and Hotels.com. Look for package deals that combine accommodation with flights or activities. Consider traveling during the shoulder seasons (spring and fall) to avoid peak season prices. Sign up for hotel loyalty programs to earn points and rewards. Check the resort’s website for direct booking discounts or special offers. Be flexible with your dates and destination to maximize your chances of finding a bargain.

What are the local attractions near California resorts?
