Grand Island Mansion

We absolutely love Grand Island Mansion! It is absolutely a stunning European-style estate — beautiful in every corner, both indoors and outdoors. The architecture, gardens, and overall atmosphere feel timeless and elegant, making it an incredible backdrop for weddings. As photographers, we’ve had the pleasure of shooting here many times, and every single visit still excites us. The light, the spaces, and the variety of photo locations make each wedding feel unique yet consistently breathtaking. The service is also wonderful — the staff is professional, warm, and very supportive, which makes the entire experience smooth and enjoyable for both couples and vendors. This venue has become extremely popular over the past couple of years, so if you’re considering hosting your wedding here, we highly recommend booking at least a year in advance.

Elegant, sprawling, and nestled right along a river, the Grand Island Mansion makes for one of Sacramento's most spectacular wedding venues. And it's a total visual feast when it comes to capturing wedding photos. Truly, the grounds and garden of the house are as varied as they are well-groomed. Towering trees, ivy-covered walls, reflecting pools, patios and statues give so many different vibes with each step you take. That means outdoor ceremonies can be organized in many different areas for different feels, though the last wedding I captured was held at the colonnade platform at the front of the house. It was serene and sincere, followed by a first dance at the nearby fountain. Just the sort of fairytale moments for which my couple was looking. Of course, the mansion itself is a treasure. Its many rooms, decorated with rich color and design, made for a place that was perfect for wandering with my jaw on the floor. The staircase at the entrance is also a striking addition and great for photos. I especially enjoyed the airy, yellow reception room that served the small number of guests my couple had invited to their celebration. And while photos of food don't convey their taste, let's just say that the cuisine is worth coming back for even after the wedding. Don't miss the Grand Island Mansion for a luxurious wedding that's overflowing with atmosphere.

Attended my granddaughter's wedding yesterday. This is the same place her parents were married nearly 33 years ago. Small intimate affair but in the most beautiful setting. Shout out to Dillon and staff who went above and beyond in making this happen.

We had an amazing wedding for my daughter on September 12, 2024 . This place everything you can only dream about!! Place itself is gorgeous and elegant!! Workers so sweet , pleasant , helpful, loving, always at your service 🩷🩷 Amazing food and heavenly desserts! Thank you to the owners, they are the sweetest couple I got blessed to know them . In all we LOVED IT 😍, LOVED IT 😍, LOVED IT 😍

I recently attended a wedding here in June 2025 but haven’t been here since 2018. I feel like over the years they’ve adjusted some things like by the fountain and their lawn area. For both weddings, the parties organized a shuttle from Sacramento or Elk Grove which made it safer for the guests who plan to drink. It’s about 40 minutes away from each area and tight 2 lane roads. The food have both been buffets and pretty good! They have an outdoor air conditioned tent. The ceremony that was at 6pm was not too hot and beautiful lighting. There’s parking for guests too and a huge beautiful mansion where the wedding party usually stays the night. I didn’t know they do Sunday Mothers Day brunch but would like to check it out in the future and it’s a nice photo op place!

All I can say is WOW..! Took my grandmother mother here for Mother’s Day brunch and we loved it. From the quality of food, to the service and the atmosphere I would rate it all 10/10. I was recommended here by a good friend a while ago and I finally had some time to go check it out definitely enjoyable and worth the experience. Even got a tour after eating 😂 had to walk off the good food (it’s a buffet btw) so much to see and everything is well up kept. This place is a hidden gem, if you want to blow somebody’s socks off, bring them here. Thank you Grand island mansion, I will be returning soon👍🏾

A very enjoyable experience. They opened up 3 bedrooms for us to explore. They were very nice! Food was good. A bit pricey, but I think it's worth it to go to a mansion to eat brunch. You don't pay for parking, and the drive to the mansion is very scenic. It is a buffet, and the menu doesn't change except for Thanksgiving and Xmas. I will definitely go again. The experience is enhanced if you go with friends and dress up really nice. My cousin was pounding down the mimosas. I love pasta, and this pasta was one of the best I ever had. The pear salad dressing was very good! I didn't care for the dessert though, and I wish they could do better. Their cakes were dry, especially the white one.
