LA Digestive Health and Wellness: Marc Makhani, MD

I had a very positive experience with Dr. Makhani. Although my appointment call started a little later than scheduled due to a surgery, he still took the time to call me on a Friday evening and apologized for the delay, which I greatly appreciated. He had clearly reviewed my medical history and intake forms beforehand, and listened carefully to my questions and concerns. He was warm, professional, and thorough in discussing next steps. His staff member, Kaiza, was also extremely helpful, and always patient, responsive, and prompt in following up with all the forms and information I needed. I left the appointment feeling heard, cared for, and confident in the plan moving forward. ~ Melody

I’ve been seeing Dr. Makhani for a few years and he’s one of my favorite doctors I’ve ever had, of any specialty. He’s so personable, kind, and attentive. He listens to my issues and takes trying to solve them seriously. I recommend him to anyone looking for a really solid, one of a kind gastro doctor. I feel privileged to be his patient!

Dr. Marc D.Makhani welcomed me to Southern California and his practice exuding warmth and heart. While garnering recent episodic information of what brought me to his practice, he listened intently as details unfolded. He explained he could not solve my issue in this first seating and said his approach is one step at a time. He issued an eating plan and ordered a preliminary test, which would help to identify certain markers in my lower GI track. Similarly, I posed additional questions after my initial visit to his staff followed by a phone call from Dr. Makhani. I feel well served and pleased to write this review.

His professionalism and accuracy are outstanding, and he takes the time to explain everything clearly. His office is very well organized, and his secretary is efficient, responsive, and caring—always answering questions promptly and making the process smooth. Amazing experience with Dr. Makhani. He knows what he’s doing. He really saved me and had me go to emergency for surgery. I had gone to 4 other places and they were all giving me the run around. I have been in pain since April and it was getting worse by the day. My surgery is scheduled for today and after months of pain I’m finally going to feel relief.
