Carson Animal Shelter

I got my adorable Twinkie from this shelter, and although she’s been the most anxious and skittish guinea pig I’ve ever met, she was the perfect addition to my Guinea pig family!!! She is being braver everyday to be comfortable in her new home. So glad to give her a better environment 💕Adopt don’t shop!!

There are no words to express how greatgul I am for adopting my Dog today from Caron Animal shelter. I waited 2 weeks until I was able to pick up my precious dog today. Thanks to Alyssa, staff, and all the amazing volunteers!! Very smooth process, very professional, experienced staff!!! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!!!!!

I hate this place I saved a kitten not that long ago. I told them I wanted to adopt him. They told me they had to take him in to see if he’s fine. Long story short I’ve been calling for his status so I can take him home and they gave him to someone else. I can’t believe these people. They never returned my calls. I had to see online that he was already adopted. He was stuck on some bushes and the place he was stuck on was really had to get to, it took an hour to find a way in. I can’t believe they did that, I Love Cats. i’m really hurt right now I feel like crying. I really wanted him. I’m glad he has a family.

Found a kitten in my engine compartment...no kidding...I have no idea how he survived the ordeal ... anyway I conducted a rescue mission for the little guy and removed quite a bit of components in order to extract him and make sure the little guy was safe and sound...a salmon dinner and straight to Carson shelter...they took him in promptly and had the same compassion to help this little guy as I did... he's already on the shelter site the next day as a stray and within 4 or 5 days he is on the site listed as ready to go home meaning he was spayed and vaccinated....I'm so happy for him...I have 2 German shepherds so he couldn't stay or I would have kept him...if your looking to add a beautiful kitten to your family go adopt him!!!!! I'm posting pics as well....

The staff is very helpful and friendly. We adopted a 5 year old who fit right into our home, comfortable as can be.

I am a volunteer foster mom, to help raise kitties until they become adaptable age. Sometimes come with their mommy. Staff in the office, sometime frustrate me but other medical staff, volunteer staff, animal handlers are really nice. Hope other people can help them being a volunteer.

Carson Animal Shelter is a truly amazing place. It was unbelievable to see so many people surrendering their dogs, each with a different story, it was just heartbreaking, I nearly broke out in tears. It was then that I realized what the staff members and volunteers go through every day. These heroes are on the front lines every day helping dogs get adopted. Housing them with dignity and car every day. The staff are all so kind and patient. There are amazing discounts available. I brought home our little Dusty and she’s adjusting to her new family just fine. Thank you Carson Animal Shelter you are doing a great service to our dogs and our community. GodBlessYou all.
