Convenient, easy, friendly drop off. I was able to leave a toaster oven and some dvds/cassette tapes. They also pick up items too! I’ll definitely use them in the future.

Went in to get used battery. She was helpful on phone, got there they had plenty of batteries. Caleb tested my old one-dead. Checked the new one I picked-good. Caleb gave me an ice water, fair price, and people friendly. I will definitely be back

KRYPTIS EYE

I had a very disappointing experience at iPull-uPull Fresno. It was my first time visiting, and I told the front desk staff that I was new and didn’t really understand how everything worked. I was looking for a car for my brother, but I was never clearly informed that all the vehicles were salvage title cars. I only found this out later from another employee. I also purchased wheels, but only one of them ended up fitting my car. The other three were not what I needed. When I tried to address this, I was told I could not get a refund, even though I felt the situation was caused by unclear information and how the parts were handled. Overall, I feel the communication for first-time customers could be much better, especially when it comes to explaining how the inventory works and the refund policy. It was a frustrating experience

Really helpful, at the entrance i was helped to see if what i was looking for was available, good selection of cars and very knowledgeable staff.once again I pull you pull has amazed me, I asked at the entrance where I could find my part, gave them the info and they printed out a list of trucks that were interchangeable with my truck. I’m disabled and I was able to access the entire yard unlike «around the corner» where I actually got stuck and when I asked their staff for help…strangers helped me. I pull you pull keeps having the best prices and no hassle return policy. Oh yeah A.B. seen in photo deserves a raise.

Won’t except tap payment for entry says it has to be card or cash but will except tap payment if parts are purchased. Waisted my time. Just about all businesses are except tap as it’s the more modern way to pay now. Looks like they need to update the way they do things. I stick to going to pick n pull from now on.

Excellent response time and availability. I called on a Saturday and had three cars picked up Monday morning before 9 am. And check in hand. The drivers were well organized. Look forward to seeing what parts they have for my other Vehicles.

Came on July 4th was given free shirt and 50% of, customer service is always great here along with reasonable prices. Started coming here instead of pick your part where they basically charge you full new price on used parts. I drive further here but it’s worth it. I’ve spent over $500 here in the last two months because I actually get my money’s worth. Also better car selection newer models hopefully they open another one near Riverside soon.

NEVER EVER BRINGING MY BUSINESS HERE!!!!! The lady working in the front was extremely disrespectful to me, a paying customer! She does not respect her customers and their belongings. This place is extremely unprofessional. It’s a shame. This used to be one of my favorite spots but they have went downhill in their quality and customer service/support. I believe that this is key on whether an establishment truly cares about their customers. To laugh in the face of a paying customer is absolutely disgusting. Moving forward I will not be recommending this establishment to any friends or family.

Parking was easy, the lot had plenty of spots. Signing up was easy & the $4 entry fee was reasonable. The parts lot was labeled and it was easy to find the vehicle I found on line. Access to the car was easy, I had my part and was out in about 45 mins or so.

THR WARRANTY IS OPTIONAL. THIS LOCATION WILL NOT TELL YOU THAT. IT IS ILLEGAL TO CHARGE SOMEONE FOR A WARRANTY IF THEY DON’T WANT IT. Save yourself some money and tell them you don’t want the warranty. I’m sitting here looking at my recipe feeling like I got burned. They sold me a warranty on a spoiler and some interior body trim. I don’t need a warranty for that. On my receipt, the warranty for each item cost 1/3rd of the total price of the item. Which roughly comes out 21 third of your entire bill. I hope this helps anybody who goes there, so they can be prepared to not get burned.

Mike N.

I have to say staff is very respectful and helpful the inventory is limited but it’s there they don’t update the website regularly so you could go there and the car could be gone with in a month so be aware but other than that I would highly recommend them the prices are fairly reasonable.

I went there for a Toyota Solara spare tire. The car that looked most promising had a locked trunk with perfect sheet metal. One of the folks who work there climbed in and opened it from the inside. No luck but found another one that fit nearby and got it to be sure it was OK. Then carried it to the front for me. I would go back again to see if the had a part that might work.

Ok so two things the two workers who helped us was Raymond and Janothan they both had EXCELLENT customer service very humble I would of gave 5 stars if I got a decent amount 💲for what I brought . How ever I feel at this location I was paid less, here is why I am very OCD so dam near the same amount I ♻️ recycle every 2 months and this other place they follow the same exact rules. I got $20 more at that other place. The other place also denies milk products, or if it doesn’t say a CRV no pay. I dont know but this is just my opinion. I really really hope Stockton Recycling isn’t jipping people off… WILL i be back well frankly yes 🤣🤣🤣 because if there the only place open on a Sunday 😅😅 then thats the option 🤔. However I was just a little disappointed on the amount I got back.

This place is about as good as it gets when it comes to a recycling center. It’s fast, efficient, and the workers are top notch. Beyond that, the workers are actually helpful and friendly, most of the time they’re in a good mood as well. My wife and I always use the money on a date night or a nice breakfast so recycling at Stockton Recycling is always something we look forward to Keep it up!

I had a great experience at this recycling center today. Matthew was incredibly helpful, assisting me with the containers for the recycling and making the process smooth and stress-free, since I brought a lot with me. Diego was also amazing, he took the time to answer all my questions about certain plastic bottles I wasn’t sure of, clearly explained the rates, and how much each item was worth, which I really appreciated! The lady at the counter was super kind as well and even offered me free wipes to clean my hands afterward, which was such a thoughtful touch. Also a bonus, they have an adorable «su-purr-visor» cat keeping an eye on everything 😄 Overall, this business has friendly, helpful staff and a welcoming environment; I’ll definitely be coming back! Thank you again! 😀

I came into this recycling place expecting to have to lift heavy stuff with a bad back. Julian came running out to assist me and told me that I didn’t have to do it that he would handle it all. He also was greeting other customers as they walked up with a smile on his face. He was running around back and forth to help everyone he could. Some workers are nice, but too many workers are rude. All recycling places tell me just an ID is required to sell for some reason here I get told I need a Driver’s license. And the 1 person who did buy my recycling with my ID now no longer works there?… Thats weird..But you know they have the right to refuse service.. Im gonna stick to Royal recycling. At least there they’re always welcoming and willing to do business because CA Law says only an ID is required.

Great experience! Took my son and we spent hrs walking around. This place is amazing! My son got to see so many cars, motorcycles and every part you can imagine. I did not get a chance to get their names, but the 3 gentlemen behind the counter in the office are great. I bought a quarter panel for my 1965 Oldsmobile jetstar 88, they had a spare car, cut it to length and sold it to me. I had to drive 3 hours to get it. Once there, they let me and a buddy walk around and check out their HUGE inventory. A whole bunch of cool, old american classics. From 30s to 80s and on! I even found a pair of door sills for my 1951 Plymouth. Thanks guy! Will definitely be back

Went recently just to see what they have for steering columns and early tempest parts. They have plenty of steering column cores to build nearly anything. You really need to visit in person if you’re looking for a hard to find part. There is so much to search through. Their computer inventory was impressive, but it didn’t show a 62 tempest fender avaliable, but there was a clean one out there marked as 61. And it may very well have came in on a 61 tempest that they parted. With so much inventory flowing easy mismark. This is why it is best for the customer to take a look out here, if possible. Very friendly staff, very fair pricing. These yards and parts are not around anymore. As far as poor customer service some complain about, I’m certain it isn’t intentional, but I’ve been on the other side of the counter (not here), and honestly, some customers just don’t know what exactly they are looking for and/ or don’t realize that parts of these ages are not always in mint condition anymore. And not every staff member knows exactly what your part will look like, not to mention different plants of the manufacturers have used slightly different parts on same model cars, especially fleet or government vehicles, especially if there was a recall or superseded part replaced under warranty or by a shade tree mechanic to keep the car on the road in prior ownership. There are treasures to be had here, if you are a serious classic car enthusiast or restorer, come pick out your part in person.

Yesterday as I was waiting to return some cores, I witnessed who I assume to be the manager in charge, scolding her employees very loudly. The environment instantly felt hostile, she ended her speech with threats to write them all up and I quote «It’s your job or mine and it’s not going to be mine!!» You could tell the employee helping me felt uncomfortable after being yelled at. I will still be shopping here but that was definitely not the right place or time for that conversation.

I’ve done business with a lot of scrap yards over the years and there’s a noticeably different feel to the atmosphere at this one, and the entire staff is really happy and eager to help, in any way. The business traffic in and out of this place is mind blowingly busy at any time of day and they handle it with rapidity while maintaining excellent service, they dont give off that vibe that the person at the end of the line is the most important, making you feel like an inconvenience of burden. If you’re in need of any secondary items that they may have on the yard, they’re willing to dig around for that item and sell it for much less than elsewhere. Love this place, definitely elevating the industry standard. Oh yea, and they’re open 7 days a week and NEVER close earlier than their hours state. bonus!

Easy money. Drive up to the scale or wait for the truck on the scale to move. Get off go to the window and get a paper and back your truck up to drop off your metal. I dropped off 3 times. The second time it was a guy. I took a little less then my picture and got 28 dollars. The first and third time I got more from a lady doing the scale. 60 dollars for the truck load. The guy was probably being shady.

Outstanding service and pricing. Todd and the workers are very helpful. I called in about their pricing , before going there. Upon departure , there was a slight miscommunication of the pricing that I was given.( No one’s fault! Just providing my experience) Todd was excellent in adjusting the pricing, his demeanor and service is above and beyond. He explained in better details of how pricing goes, gave me a great price. It was more than just a business transaction, the feeling of true Family values is expressed by Todd and the workers that I spoke with. Amazing place to cash in your scrap metal, they adjusted a price with rightness and harmony. Appreciate you . Take care!

They have a line that moves very fast. I’ve never spent more than 5 to 8 min. You do need an ID, besides that they are very good with you. They don’t mind if you come in and park and clean up your metal like scrape a lil paint off or skin a few wires you might of missed. Please just don’t abuse there kindness ( like spend over 30 min. Nice folks. Didn’t charge me entry to check out tires. But of a smaller yard so they didn’t have size i needed but they didn’t no that ahead of time so even more kudos. They also sell batteries they’ve checked. Had the size I needed. If it lasts have as long as a new one, it’s worth it. So we’ll see.

An absolute ripoff, just like every other second hand junk business these days. Before you go here to waste your time, effort, and money see if you can get the same part for cheaper off ebay or what have you. I cannot imagine why this place even exists if they’re charging you this much to dig around in their garbage. Explore every other option before going here, you’ll probably save yourself a lot of money.

Terrible communication with the people that work there don’t waste your time dealing with this place. I drove 69 miles and the guy said the bumper was in good condition when I got there it had holes in the bumper and rips.

Frequently asked questions about scrap yards in California

What types of materials do scrap yards in California typically accept?

California scrap yards generally accept a broad range of materials, including steel, aluminum, copper, brass, lead, and various non-ferrous metals. They also often handle electronics, containing valuable rare earth metals, and appliances, which can yield significant quantities of metals and plastics. The specific materials accepted can vary depending on the yard’s specialization and current market prices.

How much does it cost to sell scrap metal in California?

The price you receive for your scrap metal in California fluctuates based on several factors. These include the current market prices of the metals, the quantity of material you’re bringing in, the purity of the metal, and the scrap yard’s processing fees. It's advisable to get multiple quotes from different yards to ensure you're getting the best possible price. Furthermore, state regulations can impact pricing.

What paperwork do I need to bring to a scrap yard?

To sell scrap metal in California, you'll typically need to provide identification (driver's license or other government-issued ID) and proof of ownership of the scrap metal. Some yards may require a California Department of Justice (DOJ) registration number, especially for large-scale operations. It's wise to check with the specific yard beforehand to understand their specific requirements and ensure a smooth transaction.

Are there different regulations for selling scrap metal in different California counties?

Yes, there are varying regulations for selling scrap metal across California counties. Some counties have stricter rules regarding record-keeping, reporting, and metal identification. It’s crucial to research the regulations in the county where the scrap yard is located to ensure compliance. These regulations are often overseen by the California State Department of Justice.

What happens to the scrap metal after I sell it to a yard?

Once you sell your scrap metal, the yard will typically weigh and sort the material. The metal is then processed, which can involve crushing, melting, and refining. The yard will then sell the processed metal to manufacturers and other industrial users. The traceability of the metal is often tracked to ensure it’s properly recycled and doesn’t end up in an unauthorized location.

How do scrap yards determine the value of my scrap metal?

Scrap yards use a combination of factors to determine the value of your scrap metal. This includes metal prices as determined by the London Metal Exchange and regional market conditions. They also consider the metal’s grade (e.g., purity, alloys), the weight, and the condition of the material. Expert appraisals are frequently employed to accurately assess the metal's worth.

What safety precautions should I take when bringing scrap metal to a yard?

When transporting and delivering scrap metal to a yard, it’s essential to prioritize safety. Wear appropriate protective gear, such as gloves and safety glasses. Ensure the metal is properly secured to prevent shifting during transport. Be aware of potential hazards, such as sharp edges and heavy loads, and follow the yard’s safety guidelines to minimize the risk of accidents.

Do all scrap yards in California pay the same price for scrap metal?

No, prices vary significantly between different scrap yards in California. This is due to factors such as market demand, the yard’s processing capabilities, and their relationship with metal suppliers. It’s always recommended to compare quotes from several yards to find the most favorable price. Loyalty programs can also affect pricing.

What is ‘green’ scrap metal, and does it fetch a higher price?

‘Green scrap metal’ refers to scrap metal that has been salvaged from demolition projects or other sources where the metal hasn’t been contaminated with hazardous materials. This type of scrap metal typically fetches a higher price because it’s considered cleaner and easier to process. However, proper identification and documentation are still necessary to ensure accurate pricing and compliance with environmental regulations.

How can I find a reputable scrap yard in California?

Finding a reputable scrap yard requires thorough research. Look for yards with a good reputation, positive customer reviews, and a license from the California State Department of Justice. Verify their insurance coverage and ensure they adhere to environmental regulations. Checking their member status with organizations like the National Metal & Scrap Recycling Association can also be beneficial.
