California Mountain Bakery

My review is for their Apple crumbled pie i purchased at Dons Market while waiting to charge my EV . I decided to surprise my girls for dessert while we camped at La Jolla Indian Reservation campsite . They all liked their dessert, pie tasted great and not overly sweet . Our only complaint was not much apple chunks pieces inside .

Very cute bakery. Plenty of parking. Very helpful workers. The pie (apple crumble) was amazing. The chicken pot pie was also good.

Absolutely the BEST chicken pot pie we’ve ever had — and incredible customer service! We stopped at California Mountain Bakery in Julian on our way through and what a fantastic find! The chicken pot pie was outstanding — hands down the best we’ve ever tasted. The crust was perfectly flaky, the filling was rich, creamy, and packed with tender chicken and fresh vegetables. Every bite was pure comfort food heaven. We could tell it was made with real care and quality ingredients. But what really made our visit special was the kindness of one of the team members. When our car started having issues in the parking lot, one do the employee went way out of his way to help us. He offered tools, gave us advice, and even stayed with us until we got things sorted. His genuine willingness to help turned what could have been a stressful situation into a much better experience. The bakery itself is charming, with beautiful mountain views and a welcoming atmosphere. We’ll definitely be making this a regular stop whenever we’re in the Julian area. If you’re looking for amazing baked goods (especially that legendary chicken pot pie!) and friendly, caring service, this is the place.

I previously had left a review on their Pie which was excellent I went there for Lunch today and wanted to try one of their Deli Sandwiches. I had a Ham and Turkey combo on Sourdough Bread....Their Sandwiches come with your choice of a bag of Chips. That Sandwich was so good and let me tell you, that was the best Bread I have ever tasted. Normally I toast my Sourdough, but I'm glad this one wasn't toasted because that Bread was so soft and fresh... It was a good size too, I was only able to eat half. The staff is so nice they definitely know what they 're doing there.

Probably the best pie I have tried in California! Simply delicious. Love their apple mango pie with vanilla ice cream ❤️❤️❤️ lots of other delicious pastries as well. Apple cider always tastes sweet and fresh. Cashiers are super friendly and helpful! It is also pet friendly 🐕🐕🐕 And the drive to the place from San Diego is magnificent! Definitely recommend!!
