ParkSJ: Market & San Pedro Square Parking Garage

Signage is confusing. Says $30 daily maximum, but apparently resets at 6am. Does not say it resets at 6am near the daily maximum. We parked for 18 hours and payed $50. Called staff from pay machine because we were confused about why it was $50 and not $30, staff was really rude to us. Feels scammy and an intentional way to rip people off.

Very large, multiple levels parking structure for the patron of San Pedro marketplace. Parking is very easy on the weekday but may get complicated during the weekend. Parking fee is very cheap, even you can pay at the exit but I highly recommend that you pay at one of the kiosk before you go to get your car. Once you at the machine, you need to insert the ticket, NOT SCANNING! I saw many people try to scan and exit and take them long time to figure out!

I appreciate the 90 mins free parking, but the 2nd floor smells bad 🙁 And there is no ventilation while construction going on.

Half of the chargers are broken, and no one seems to care about fixing them even after I report the damage in the ChargePoint app, so I’m rarely able to charge my EV while it is parked here, although it is always my reasonable expectation to be able to do so.

This a great place to have great food with some friends. Is it a place for you to bring your family? Not so much. Awesome places to eat here and to grab a drink. The oddest thing is that if you sit within San Pedro Square, you can only eat food that is purchased in that area. You can't grab pizza next door and eat outside, on the sidewalk of San Pedro Square. If you do, security will kick you out. It's odd. But hey, a lot of police presence, bars and good food. 👍

Parking was easy. Leaving was not. It took about a half hour to finally to finally get out. Cars were backed up in all directions at an automated toll gate.

Cheap and plentiful parking. Chargepoint chargers are on the second floor along Market Ave side. Garage has 90 minutes free.
