Horrible experience! I and my wife parked our rental car for about 2 hours on the afternoon of 05-Aug-2024 and someone broke the back door window and stole our two backpacks. Look at other recent reviews and it's clear that someone is hitting this place repeatedly. The employees at the entrance keep looking into your car. This is not a trustworthy parking lot. We filed a report with the Berkeley police and have not heard anything back. Help others become aware of this!

It was almost filled and had to park in the last floor just before the roof parking lot other than that for being a Saturday and on vacation it was a pretty good parking lot. Paid $1 for our stay cannot complain about that.

Do not park in this garage if you need to get your car early in the morning. it is not accessible until 7 AM. Even if the Hilton Graduate tells you to park here, hopefully you take a moment to assess other options.

Completely closed during holidays with metal gates so cars can’t leave until the morning after, pricing was unclear—signs said overnight was $16 but we paid $68 for two overnights

Here is my experience as a monthly parking member holder for 7 consecutive years: (PRO TIP: IF YOU DONT WANT TO PAY OVERNIGHT PARKING, GO TO THE GATE WHEN EXITING AND CLICK THE ASSISTANCE CALL BUTTON. SAY YOU LOST YOUR TICKET; IT IS $16 FOR A LOST TICKET, WAY LESS EXPENSIVE THAN $32.) It is true; they close the garage overnight at 12 AM on weekdays, 1 AM on Friday and Saturday, and 10 PM on Sundays. Do not leave any valuables in the car (common sense). In the 7 years I've been parking here every single day and overnight, I have had four instances where people have scraped up the side of my vehicle and bumpers and left without leaving notes. The parking garage does NOT HAVE CAMERAS; there is only one elevator that is sometimes out of service. If the stairwell door on Durant is propped open with a cone, that means it is out of order. I highly recommend you walk down the stairs instead of waiting for the elevator! Because people go up, and then you wait for them to come down. I also recommend (if you can) parking on the "A" floors closest to the elevator, furthest from the spot next to it on the right. These spots are safe from people accidentally gliding into the side of your car or getting into the tight spaces. I also recommend the parking spots on the slope, though they are limited; only so few can park there, and I ALWAYS park on the slopes, and it's just easier to locate your vehicle, and there's less chance of hit-and-runs vs. the regular grid spots. If you want to avoid getting hit by other cars, I suggest going up and up the floors; usually everyone is searching for the closest one, and usually if it's not busy, the top floors, such as 4th and 5th, aren't packed with people, and there are many spots to park in. But this is the best option for the place I live in, and I'll take it. On game days & school events, parking is limited and always full to the brim, with traffic coming in and out. Also, if you turn too early while going up to another floor, your rear tires might hit the curb, so be cautious... I've never had my vehicle broken into for these years, because I don't leave valuables in my car!!!! Like cmon now! If you get your stuff stolen or car hit, the garage isn't liable and cannot help you in any way without the security cameras.
