I’d like to give a big shout out and standing ovation to Grace Ortiz who did my ultrasound! I highly recommend seeing Grace at FOWH. She is so caring, supportive, and patient and will take excellent care of you. She did not rush me, explained in detail all measurements, and all the while made me feel well cared for and supported. My journey has been a long one, and Grace has remembered me through my ups and downs. That type of personal care is very rare and I’m so grateful to her! Thank you Grace!

The doctors and staff are nice when you speak with them, but the office is so poorly managed I had to find a new clinic. Repeated admin mistakes (lab work ordered from the wrong place, long waits past scheduled appointment times, hard to get on the phone.) the straw that broke the camels back was me getting a voicemail telling me I have a new appointment time, with less than 24 hours notice. Your patients also have jobs and responsibilities, and it’s unprofessional to make scheduling changes on such short notice.

I’ve had 2 annual exams here and each time has been great. I get very very nervous for them, but the nurses and doctors here and so understanding and patient. Today, I saw Mandy L who was just amazing. Thank you for creating a safe place for women and championing women’s health!

I just left this place to get my first ultrasound and blood work done. I’m a little over 8 weeks pregnant and I think I’m going to write a review after every visit because everyone has been so great and needs to be recognized! As someone who works in healthcare I know the difficulties in pleasing patients. That being said, Grace (ultrasound tech/sonographer) was amazing! She made me feel comfortable, explained everything thoroughly, and was incredibly gentle. Kathy (phlebotomist) with her happy-go-lucky demeanor had the softest and quickest hands as she took over 10 vials of blood. I would recommend this place to all my female friends.

TW: miscarriage. This was my first pregnancy I was completely lost on what steps I needed to take and what was normal during early pregnancy I had originally gone to another doctor as I was having early one sided cramping and was fearful of an ectopic pregnancy. That doctor ignored my request for an early ultrasound to verify where the baby was implanted and failed to order me labs to check my levels to see if they were progressing ignored my questions and didn’t even look up from his paper before running out of the room. I had to go to the ER just to get anything done I also had to pay out of pocket to go to quest just to get another set of labs to see if my levels were rising. Even after I asked that office for lab slips as I work in healthcare in the hospital and could have them done at my job they refused and told me I HAD to go to their lab. After feeling completely ignored from that doctor I found fair oaks women’s health online. I spoke with Reyla on the phone and pretty much vented all of my worries and how uncomfortable I was with my former doctor. She sat there listening to me and comforted me and I know there are plenty of other patients to schedule but she never interrupted me. She told me that she wanted to make sure she scheduled me with a doctor that made me comfortable. She found a last minute cancellation for me with Dr. Shah. Although I was feeling so much relief that I was going to see another doctor my pregnancy ended with miscarriage 4 days before seeing Dr. Shah. I called the clinic again (which mind you I never waited more than 10 minutes on hold or if I left a voicemail they called me that same day.) I informed them of my miscarriage and they were so empathetic apologizing for my loss even though I wasn’t even established with them yet. They confirmed that Dr Shah still wanted to see me just confirm the miscarriage was complete. When we checked in the front office the girls were nice and attentive and they took me in at my appointment time. I unfortunately entered tearfully seeing all the pregnant patients in the lobby . I waited maybe 10 minutes in the room for Dr Shah and she approached me with such gentle empathy that I couldn’t help but cry harder in the room with her. She comforted me and told me that I wasn’t alone during this traumatic time not only giving me medical knowledge on what my body will experience the upcoming weeks of my miscarriage. But the positive reassurance that I can try again when I’m ready mentally and physically. She even let me cry a little longer in the room with my husband just so I had time to grieve and compose myself. And even as I left everyone still smiled at me with kind eyes and no judgement. So to Reyla and Dr Shah and the entire staff thank you for making me feel seen and safe and comfortable by providing exceptional care.
