Eve

The best pet store experience I’ve ever had. The employees were some of the most helpful store attendance I have ever experienced. Any question I had if they didn’t know it they would find a fellow coworker to answer it for me. Even one guy was generous enough to call the store while he was on his break to answer one of my questions because he knew the best way to answer it. I will no longer be visiting big corporate pet stores and only be coming here for any future pet needs. Their prices were amazing especially, considering the quality. The beta I got has been experiencing no health concerns. His color hasn’t even changed, which shows that he was well taken care of while he was there. The plants we have gotten have not even melted because of how they were grown. The level of pride and care they put into their business truly shows!

I love supporting family-owned businesses. I’ve been buying food and necessities for both my snake and cat here. I recently purchased a bigger tank for my snake, and they were very helpful in carrying it to my vehicle. All employees are quick to help customers, friendly, and kind. I will continue to shop here.

the person with the drawn on mustache was super rude and was snarky with me about husbandry despite being wrong. i was trying to just correct myself and they snapped back. my boyfriend and i were uncomfortable and when we wanted help later on we went and asked someone else because we were avoiding interacting with that person again. the other person who helped us was great. but the person with blonde (?) buzz cut and a drawn mustache was rude for no reason. i’ve been here several times, unfortunately any other place to purchase what we need is too far. every time i come i have to turn my head to not look at the overcrowding of animals and lack of husbandry. i know a lot of people aren’t informed about the husbandry of exotics so they think places like this are great. while i can appreciate being able to get what i need from them, i only do it because it is too expensive and time consuming to go to another place (excluding the even worse place that is closer to fontana) honestly that one interaction though made it so i am considering not coming here again. EDIT: to the owner that responded to my review, i am positive that it was this store. they had a buzzcut/shaved head and their mustache was not real it was drawn on. i’m certain that this is the right location as i have came here at least 8 times

I like to go on Wednesdays as that is their 10% off day. I go there to pick up king worms for my adopted beardy, Calypso. The guys at the counter are always friendly and helpful. So much so that as a magician I like to do a trick for them once in a while just to give them a smile for the day, since they work so hard

The people at PetSmart are very nice. I bring my cat there for his nail trimming. It’s only $15! So I give them a $5 tip. It would be twice as much, anywhere else. They have more pet foods than you can ever imagine! So many products: toys, clothes, bedding, leashes… Even catnip! It’s great that you can shop in person instead of having to rely on misrepresented photos of products on Amazon. Also you can adopt some beautiful cats from them.

Terrible experience here. I called 4 times over the past couple weeks jussst to be safe before bringing my dog Rosie here for a grooming. Quadruple confirmed if when she was dropped off at 11:30 that she could stay until 4:30. Talked to 4 different people each one saying, «Of course! No problem.» Called one last time an hour before arriving and the guy on the phone said, «Of course! She can stay until 8pm if needed.» Walk in and the girl stubbornly tells me, «We can’t take your dog.» Then says, «She is too old. We can only keep her for 1 hour. She will freak out if we keep her.» Um, ok. Meanwhile she had a grooming and stayed for 4 hours at the Santa Rosa location a few months ago. I had just drove up 2 hours from San Diego and had no where to bring her. I ended up having to leave her in my car for 5 hours by herself in a parking garage. Your place is a joke. Where’s real management? No one is on the same page. No integrity. Get better systems in place and get your act together!

I usually order online and all my items are delivered by them if their late they’ll give you a refund and their online chat support or email support team is very helpful and quick to response to any problems and resolves it quickly. Plus their prices are a lot better then other places. I’m planning to start picking up with my next order. I’ll let you guys know once I experience that in another week or so.

When it comes to your pet, never sell them short, you’re the one in control of their health what they eat, how they smell, and how they know you know give them the quality that they deserve the better the food, the less, the false ingredients, the less the dander less, the smell less the loss of hair and less poor behavior Overtime they eat less because they’re getting exactly what they want and that may be whatever kind of food it is for you, but PetSmart carries they have leashes. They have a leash with lights on it. They have a leash with bags for you to collect the overall specimen, although I warn my dog if he misbehaves I’m gonna have him get opposable thumbs so he could pick up his own Doodoo ha ha I recommend the store to everybody

Good selection of pet products and helpful/friendly service. Been going here since I was a child for various pet needs. I got my cockatiel bird (recent pictures posted) from Whitie’s Pets about 25 years ago, and she is still with me, by my side. I also love that Whitie’s carries the big yellow boxes of millet for purchase. Thank you Whitie’s for serving our community and pet needs.

Don’t buy fish here. They won’t do returns after 48 hours. The fish died within a week, tested my water and its all fine. They refused to even talk to me, strict policy. I even froze the fish to take them back. This fish was $80, what awful place to deal with. Beware of the strict 48 hour policy. If the fish are sick, hope you find out before the 48 hours. Never shopping here again.

Everytime I’ve bought an animal from them it has died… After my 4 different guinea pigs got sick and passed away, 2 rats I bought just passing away for no apparent reason and multiple arowanas dying I stoped buying animals from them. I am a seasoned pet owner with much experience with these types of animals. I personally don’t really recomend them if you’re going to buy an animal… All the staff are usually really nice. It’s nothing against them I’m just not sure of the quality of the breeders they get their animals from. Plus their prices are really high.

Thank you R&N market were able to make Kah soy soup a specialty dish because not all grocery stores carry specialty items like wide rice noodles. My only suggestion would be that you start carrying fermented bean paste

A great grocery store if you’re looking for any kind of asian ingredients. The aisles are clean and the products are well organized. It’s easy to read the products and the cost of them. Prices are average and not too expensive compared to other grocery stores. The frozen meats were pretty well priced. The seafood is adjusted to market price. The amount of different meats is great as well. The wide range of different choices of cuts from different meats are nice. The only thing missing from this store is the hot foods! There are no hot foods that we could find to snack on but there are bakery goods here but it’s not super fresh. But it’s still good! The employees are very nice and welcoming. They were helpful when we were trying to find certain products. Overall, a great grocery store. Won’t be able to find hot foods but you will find everything you need to make for an Asian dish here.

The positive: I love this place for their variety of Asian goods: condiments, foods, snacks, etc. I also love how easy it is to get around the store – very intuitive layout. The negative: produce and some packaged goods could be better. Last I went, there was quite a bit of moldy produce. For packaged goods, I got some jujubes and the liquid tasted like plastic, almost like it got left in the sun for too long. Same with the Barbee breads. They are SO good, but some had a plastic taste as if the plastic taste got transferred onto the bread. I licked the inner plastic to see if I was tripping or not, and it was very, very bitter, as if left in the sun for too long.

Love this place. The meat prices are always good. Fresh seafood where you can literally buy it still swimming. I go for shrimp and crab chips. The lobster ramen is perfect for my lunch. Certain goods are expensive since supply chain problems? Not sure on that but this place was always affordable and for a large amount in store still are. So don’t be scared of going by me saying that just watch prices. Staff is always awesome. They’re always friendly and helpful even with grouchy or rude customers. Not me lol but I’ve seen some jerks in there. Professional service. Hard to find items, etc. That’s why we get our groceries there.

After a long and deliberate search ever since I moved from SF to this lovely city of fresno , I finally came across the best Asian market which has Chineses , Korean , Japanese and Filipinas food produce. The staffs , the products , the fresh produce , the Kitchenware , the seafood especially the pink grouper fish which is the best is also found here . I wish I could list everything I’ve seen , but don’t wanna to take a lot of your times reading it. I personally recommend this great Asian market . You’ll never regret shopping here.. Great Asian market in fresno , they have everything…literally everything you’re looking for in an Asian goods…

Felicia is amazing. She is always so patient with our pup. We’ve had many groomers for our poodle and she is by far the best. I genuinely am always thoroughly impressed by her. She is so kind and I know my doggo Moose loves her. Asked for something different and let her get creative, and look at his cute star!!!

We are from tulare county , and when we (my mother and I) come to puppy and dog sit for my brother this is where we go for there dog necessities. The customer service is great. We were looking around for a bit and we were stopped by 3 employees 😁. They were very kind and helpful. There is a lot of selections and varieties for pets. It is a very calming environment. The employee at the register was very kind and makes conversation , which I love , because who likes to stand in silent awkwardness 🤪. Overall it is a great place to shop for pets 😀

This review is long overdue, but after recently hearing several other negative experiences from this location, I decided it was time to share mine. For context, I own three Belgian Malinois and one German Shepherd. My dogs are groomed every four weeks because they participate in dock diving and live on rural property. They have been groomed regularly for years by multiple groomers without issue. For nearly a year, they’ve been regular clients at Petco in Madera with excellent results. I was gifted a PetSmart grooming package and decided to bring my two easiest dogs. The experience started poorly before my dogs were even touched. There was a groomer named Maddy who was incredibly kind and professional. However, another older Asian lady repeatedly barked orders at her and spoke down to her in front of customers and coworkers. It was uncomfortable, unprofessional, and embarrassing to witness. Maddy ended up grooming my dogs and mentioned that she loved Malinois. As a Malinois owner, that gave me confidence because breed familiarity matters. Unfortunately, it quickly became apparent there was very little actual understanding of the breed. The first dog I brought was my 5-year-old Malinois, Major. He is one of the softest, friendliest dogs you’ll ever meet and has never had a grooming issue. The second was our younger Malinois puppy, a giant goofy dog who also has no grooming history concerns. I received the pickup call in less than two hours, which was unusually fast. When I arrived, I was told, «They did so great!» and «I’d love to groom them again.» I even attempted to leave a tip for Maddy, but their system wasn’t set up for it and I didn’t have cash. So at this point I’ve been told my dogs were wonderful and that she’d happily groom them again. Then, as I’m about to leave, I’m told, «Major snapped at me once.» When I asked what happened, the story immediately changed to, «Well, it wasn’t really a snap. He was just nervous.» Those are two very different things. Then I was also told they couldn’t do his nails because «he wouldn’t let us.» Again, interesting information that somehow wasn’t mentioned while I was being told how fantastic he was. None of it added up. I took both dogs directly to Petco, where my other dogs were already being groomed. They were surprised by the story and proceeded to dremel Major’s nails in about five minutes without issue. They also completed my puppy’s nails without issue. The final problem was the quality of the groom itself. Both dogs were still damp and smelled strongly like wet dog when I picked them up. It was obvious they had not been properly dried. The biggest issue wasn’t the wet dogs. It was the feeling that staff saw «Belgian Malinois» on the paperwork, became uncomfortable with a working breed, and then started making excuses afterward. If a dog truly snapped, explain it. If he was nervous, say that. If services couldn’t be completed, communicate that honestly. Instead, I was told how amazing my dogs were, asked to come back again, and then given vague accusations and excuses as I was leaving. To make matters worse, I left a voicemail requesting a conversation with management and never received a call back. If you own a large breed or working breed, especially a Belgian Malinois or German Shepherd, I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere.

Won’t be going back here EVER!!!! Too bad the ladies that work in the front of the store don’t work in the grooming department. I scheduled an appointment to get my dog groomed. I was thrown off a bit because his appointment was at 9am and the doors were locked. But a really friendly woman opened the doors and was so full of energy and welcoming so I quickly looked over the little wait, things happen. She directed us to the back where the groomers were. We get to the grooming department and there’s 2 bubbly women working and 1 that looked like she didn’t want to be there. I let them know we were there for a 9am appointment. The grumpy lady said «you didn’t get my message?» to which I responded, «what message?». The lady said my dog is too old to get groomed there because there is no vet on site. Disappointed and frustrated, my dog and I left. It is frustrating because I completed the pre check in forms and never did anything come up about a dog being too old. I checked my voicemail and have no messages saying that my dog would not be able to be groomed. I did receive a text saying «sorry we missed you. Rebook your appointment». Yes, my dog is old but old dogs don’t need to be groomed also? And no apologies or anything for having to show up and be turned away. NEVER GOING TO PETCO AGAIN!!!!

Dude this sucks, the cats kept fighting/biting each other, and very hot in the room even the lady in charge was sweating. We talked to the girl in charge of that room and she said «Okay?» And didn’t say anything or did anything about it. I feel so bad for those cats all locked up in there. Also in the photos it shows the lady and in the other two cats fighting, they were cornering a grey white-ish cat.

I have only been to this store two times. The first time I went was to buy a furminator shampoo for my dog. I also bought a can of spray for in between baths. After I got home I saw that the one product didn’t work (it didn’t spray at all). So on Sunday March 1st, 2026, I needed to get my dogs nails clipped, so I thought I may as well take the unusable product back, at the same time. I have never been treated so rudely in my life. I was embarrassed in front of other customers, because I was rudely told they didn’t sell the product. I even spoke to a manager who told me the same thing. They even brought up the receipt but they told me it was something else. Why would I insist I bought the product at that store, if I bought it somewhere else. They could bring up the receipt, so they could have brought up the camera proof of what I bought. I’ve never been so humiliated in my life. The two customer service people were both rude. I’m thankful it happened though, because I didn’t get my dogs nails cut. I wouldn’t want people like that near my dog. It wasn’t about the money cuz I was just going to throw away the product, but went to take it back since I was going anyway. If you care about your pets, I recommend not taking them there. Rude, rude, rude customer service.

The staff is super friendly. They’re always putting the product out as quickly as they can they ask If I need any help with anything, I always enjoy going in and looking at all of the birds, I’m debating on getting one. The kittens make me think I should open my home and adopt one. There was not a long wait. And when I got to the register, I was asked if I had found everything. Okay, I’ll definitely be going back again.

Never really had a problem here before not my favorite place to shop because I don’t think they treat there animals great. But last night at 8 I had to get my poor dog a boot for his foot for a wound he had. The guy and girl at the front were so rude to me and were in the middle of a conversation about fish sex so I was just standing there so awkwardly waiting for the two staff to finish there conversation. He also seemed so annoyed that I brought my dog in she was just curious watching him scan her treat. Honestly will be going to Walmart and tractor supply for all my pet supplies going forward which is sad because morning crew was not amazing but never made me feel stupid and unwelcoming.

I cannot believe the QUALITY of their fish.. Not only were ALL of their Bettas in HORRIBLE condition 2 or 3 with ICK – Almost all of them had MAJOR fin rot & they were all close to death. NOW.. Onto their regular fish tanks.. I found that at least half of their tanks had ICK & they were still willing to sell me one that had ick, was in the same tank as the ones with ick (if it wasn’t showing any signs of it & also ones that shared the same sump water filter so basically any of the other infected tanks. That’s so irresponsible & unexceptable. DONT buy fish from here or ANY othe r petsmart really.. They are always horrible but never this bad. Petco usually has way better bettas and if they find ick they don’t sell any that use the same sump filter until its treated cleared and time has gone by to make sure they don’t have it. I get that they have shipments of fish already infected but that’s what quarentine is for & also they shouldn’t be selling these OBVIOUSLY INFECTED sick fish. After complaining she took out the really sick ones so I didn’t get pictures of them but she didn’t get them all not nearly.

They have a great variety of pet products, from food and toys to supplies for different types of pets. Even if you’re not shopping for something specific, it’s fun to walk around and look at the birds, lizards, and fish—it almost feels like a little mini zoo and makes the visit enjoyable. The store was clean and well organized, and the cashier was especially kind and welcoming, greeting me with a big smile. Little touches like that really make a difference.

This is our first time being responsible dog owners and have decided to make this our home location for training and grooming. Everyone is so friendly and the store flows with pawsitive energy. Daisy loves it.

My big giant Bernice Mountain Dhall got groomed by Jun. He was amazing with my dog paid special attention to every detail of my dog and I really appreciate that. I don’t trust my dog with anyone but Jun did an amazing job. Usually, my dog overpowers handlers, but Jun knew exactly how to handle him. I highly recommend the pet dog grooming services offered here.

My Milo loves going to see his favorite Vet, Dr Maryanne Tamayen. He just had the usual nail trim and glands done so didn’t see her but got to hang out with the other techs in the back….. thanks Chandler for taking care of us from check-in to check out. Appreciate you all at Vetco Signal Hill (we miss seeing our usual crew from Long Beach store on PCH) …thanks Dr Maryanne and Staff , you all ROCK!!

A quick note to state how appreciative we are for the staff at this Petco location. We don’t just go in for crickets, but this has been our need as of late with our daughter getting a frog. The past few weeks there has been a shortage of small crickets, but twice the staff have found solutions. The first time, Jarrod helped us with a discounted tub of crickets, and most recently, Bob (manager) spent time sifting through medium crickets to find as many small options as possible – which was a chore and not something he needed to do. These staff members know how to bring happiness to customers, where it seems disappointment might be the initial result. They care. And that is appreciated. Thank you!

Really friendly staff and very good trainers. They always clean up any doggy accidents promptly. Also have good stock/supply of nearly everything and check out line moves quickly even when there’s a line. Highly recommend this location for dog training – we have only taken classes with Zakary who has been super informative and approachable. Constructive feedback: The cages for cats in the adoption center should be kept MUCH cleaner. The food bowls always have dried food stuck to them, and cat litter is everywhere. Seems like food bowls may sit for hours even after feeding is over.

Been coming here for over 11 years so far banfield & petsmart itself is great for pet needs! Even their hotels are awesome! Download the app for discounts etc. Earn points! Speaking for beginners pet; my 3 month old German shepard graduated today for pet training for beginners!! Thank you Maritza!!! Amazing trainer! Highly recommend her!!! Take her classes for training puppies 🐶 😍 to do basic to intermediate commands!!! $129 for 6 weeks 1 hr 1x a week!!! Super worth it! What’s great also you get to meet other pet parents! MARITZA HAS DONE AN AMAZING INTRODUCTORY COURSE TO TRAIN YOUR PUPPIES!!! She’s very caring, informative, honest, & has alot of patience for pet trainers! Even with food she knows! Also please get puppies to adult dogs (easy walk leashes) for the class 🙏. You’ll learn how to teach your puppies to focus, seat, lay, leave it, touch, & many more! Again thank you maritza !!!

A quick hygene inspection at this facility would shut down the grooming section, in my opinion. A look at the check in counter was enough to determine we wouldn’t return to this location: dust covering absolutely everthing (ironically, from the cleaning spray covered in dirt, to the card holders filled with filth and the computer screen tops, etc.). Truly shocking. As for the bath and brush, mediocre at best. A real shame the Geary Street branch has shut down. Do better, people. It isn’t acceptable to run a filthy business where people bring their pets and entrust them to you for… HYGENE.

This store deserves negative stars. I was happy to see they were finally upgrading their aquatics department. Needless to say I was horrified. Dozens of koi shoved in ridiculously tiny tanks, dozens of dead fish. Some of which are literally MOLDING in the tanks. Overall the fish are overcrowded and clearly sick. I’m absolutely appalled.

They had my dog’s prescription vegetarian dog food in the large bag and her XL sized Whimzees in their largest sized box. It was very nice to wrap up my shopping all at once.

My husband and I love the Daly City PetSmart! The whole staff is great, but we’re especially fond of the dog trainers. 😁👏🏻👏🏻 Maritza and Jessica are gifted dog trainers and all-around animal lovers who have helped train us (the human parents) to be better pack leaders for our golden lab / GSD mix (Loba) and bring out her brainy GSD side to balance out her super goofy lab half. The classes are a lot of fun for dogs and humans alike, and you can really see the growth in your dog after you finish each six-week class. We’re really looking forward to taking the advanced class with them this summer!

I am deeply disappointed by my experience here in regard to their surgery clinic. I booked an appointment to get a feral cat spayed, which is a stressful process. It was extremely difficult to place the feral cat in a cat trap, she unfortunately escaped in the process of moving her. I knew I was going to miss the appointment window but when I called, Cristina (front staff) showed zero empathy or understanding of community cat caretaking. Explaining the situation to her, she responded in an insensitive tone and a bit sarcastic when telling me nothing could be done. They were not able to refund or credit my deposit, despite the circumstances. SPCA is a high-volume clinic that should have better protocols and compassion for people actively trying to reduce the stray population. In regards to their vaccination clinic, the prices are affordable but they mix in appointments and walk-ins so they always seem to be «running behind schedule»…be prepared to wait an extremely long time. Client assumes all risk.

It was easy to make an appointment online from their website for vaccines for my fur baby. We were seen pretty quickly. Their combo specials are extremely reasonable, way, way cheaper than my vets office. I was also able to schedule her to get spayed in a couple of weeks. Will definitely be returning here for her regular vaccines. This place beats the HOPE Animal Foundation by a mile!

I had a great experience with the Central California SPCA. The staff truly care about the animals and go above and beyond to make sure they are safe, healthy, and loved. It’s clear they are making a positive impact in the community, and I’m so grateful for everything they do.

Just a little while ago I had to take my dog in to cross the rainbow bridge and the people. There are so kind and gentle with your animals. It’s unbelievable and refreshing 😍 I’m taking my next service dog to be spayed and microchipped there because I trust these people. She’s also going to get some vaccinations when it’s time from the ASPCA! The little dog was my service dog that I put down and his name was Sam and he served me for a great 8 and 1/2 years. The big dog that you see with the German Shepherd colored face and the white body is Olive and I’m adopting her to be my next service dog ❤️

My dogs used to run out from our backyard frequently and roam around the neighborhood, mind you they were both chipped and friendly neither of them caused harm on anyone and on top of that when they’d leave to explore they always found their way home. Until they didn’t because the SPCA got to them first, had them for less than 24 hours and then euthanized one of them without discussing with us first or notifying us that our pets were being held at this shelter. Same thing happened a few months later with the second dog we had, horrible place I’ll never forget the pain they caused on me as a child and now for killing off both of my dogs. reception lady was super insensitive too hopefully she doesn’t work there anymore .

Took my pup to get his vaccine & the lady in the reception was super ! All the staff were very welcoming. The wait it short when you make an appointment! They also take walk ins, and they have packages that offer several different vaccines for pups/dogs.

Frequently asked questions about pet stores in California

What types of animals can I find at California pet stores?

California pet stores typically offer a range of animals, including small mammals such as rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, and rats. You'll often find birds like parrots and canaries, as well as reptiles like snakes, lizards, and turtles. While less common, some stores may also sell fish and amphibians. It's important to note that the availability of specific animals can vary greatly depending on the individual store and local regulations. Always verify the store's licenses and permits before purchasing an animal.

Are there regulations regarding the sale of animals in California?

Yes, California has strict regulations governing the sale and distribution of animals. The state’s Department of Food and Agriculture (CDFA) oversees these regulations, focusing on animal welfare and public health. This includes requirements for source verification, quarantine periods, and proper animal care standards. Stores must obtain permits and demonstrate they can provide suitable housing and care for the animals they sell. Recent legislation has strengthened these regulations further.

What should I look for when choosing a pet store?

When selecting a pet store in California, prioritize stores with a reputation for responsible animal care. Look for signs of a clean and well-maintained environment, and observe the animal’s condition – they should appear healthy and well-socialized. Check for proper ventilation, temperature control, and adequate space for the animals. Ask about the store's animal sourcing practices and their commitment to animal welfare.

What are the common concerns regarding pet store sourcing?

A major concern revolves around the source of the animals. Many reputable stores obtain animals from local breeders or rescue organizations, rather than large-scale commercial breeders. However, it’s crucial to ensure that any breeder used meets ethical standards and provides a healthy environment for the animals. Unethical sourcing can contribute to overpopulation and animal suffering. Always inquire about the animal’s history and lineage.

What types of food and supplies are typically available?

California pet stores offer a wide selection of animal food, ranging from dry kibble to wet food, as well as specialized diets for different species. They also stock supplies such as cages, beds, toys, leashes, and accessories. The quality of the food brands offered can vary, so read labels carefully and choose nutritious options for your pet.

How do California pet store regulations address animal health?

Regulations require pet stores to maintain records of all animal sales, including vaccination history and health certifications. Stores are responsible for providing initial veterinary care, including vaccinations and parasite prevention. They must also have a plan for handling sick animals and working with a licensed veterinarian. Regular health inspections are conducted to ensure compliance with state standards.

What are the specific requirements for selling reptiles?

Selling reptiles in California is subject to particularly stringent regulations due to the potential for disease transmission. Stores must obtain a reptile dealer license and demonstrate they can maintain appropriate temperature and humidity levels within enclosures. They are required to quarantine new reptiles for a specified period to monitor for illness and prevent the spread of disease. Proper handling procedures are also strictly enforced.

Can I adopt a pet from a California pet store?

While some pet stores partner with local animal shelters and rescue organizations to facilitate adoptions, they generally do not offer direct adoption services themselves. However, they may be able to connect you with rescue groups that specialize in specific animal types. It’s important to remember that pet stores primarily sell animals, and adoption is typically handled by dedicated rescue organizations.

What is the role of the CDFA in regulating pet stores?

The California Department of Food and Agriculture (CDFA) plays a crucial role in regulating pet stores through its Division of Weed Prevention and Plant Health. The CDFA is responsible for enforcing state laws related to animal sales, conducting inspections, issuing permits, and investigating complaints related to animal welfare and public health. Their website provides valuable information on regulations and licensing requirements.

What are the current trends in California pet store offerings?

Currently, there's a growing trend towards smaller, independent pet stores that prioritize local sourcing and ethical animal care. Many stores are also expanding their offerings to include educational resources and community events focused on responsible pet ownership. Additionally, there’s increased demand for native California animal species, reflecting a growing interest in supporting local ecosystems. Always verify the store's compliance with current regulations before making a purchase.
