Dr. Duggal and the nurse practitioners I’ve seen at this practice are great. However, as almost every other review says, it is IMPOSSIBLE to reach anyone at this office, and they do not return calls and emails. This has been the case since I was first referred by Dr. Duggal and it has not improved and may even have become worse over the past two or so years. There is no excuse for such a dysfunctional and non responsive administration staff. Having a great doctor and nurse practitioners is useless if you can’t schedule follow up appointments and never get a response to your messages. NONE of my other doctor’s offices are like this. Because of this, even though Dr. Duggal is great, I recommend finding a different practitioner with a functional and responsive office staff.

NP Johnson is great and changed my life but office staff is TERRIBLE. No call backs , they never answer. You’ll be on hold for almost an hr and be number 2 in line THEN GET HUNG UP ON! And when you do speak to someone and let them know you’ve tried for WEEKS they give attitude ! It takes two weeks to get a real call back or a med refill. I’ve came here since 2020 and I’m moving providers soon only because the office staff is LAZY and horrible

Dont waste your time here. Nobody will answer your phone call, nobody will return it, nobody will schedule an appointment for you. Seems like bad business practice in my opinion. Call anywhere else and dont let this practice charge your insurance, it seems they do not want new patients, nor do they have the courtesy to answer the phone and tell you literally anything other than just silently transferring you to a dead end voicemail, so you wont be called back.

Good luck trying to get an appt. I called last week left a message and called again today to no avail. I am starting to see why people become upset in Bakersfield and travel out. Do better guys. Only 1 person scheduling new patients? Blows my mind. Ill just do tele health.

my doctor here is GREAT! it’s the front desk that is awful. they do not return phone calls at all. it’s gotten to the point i have to email my doctor just so she can tell the front desk to return my call. i’ve been trying to get ahold of scheduling for the last two weeks to go over results. the only reason i stay at the office is for my doctor otherwise i would’ve switched a long time ago! either hire new staff OR train them to actually do their job! i understand they may be busy HOWEVER that’s not a valid excuse – many doctor offices are busy, but they don’t have poor communication. answering calls and making appts is literally their job.

This rating is for physician assistant Julie Cortez who has been seeing my mother for thyroid issues. On our first appt, she spent quite a bit of time asking all the right questions and reviewing past labs, going back into the Perimenopause/Menopause years. We had been dealing with various specialists and doctors with little to no relief for her symptoms. Women especially, face most of their health difficulties due to hormone imbalances and without the proper Dr who can identify and refer to a hormone specialist, women just fall through the cracks. Want to thank Ms Cortez for her friendly, curious and empathetic service.
